The additional Co e sensor detects all unburned components (Co, H 2, C x H y ) for optimal combustion control - as a result fuel consumption and emissions are reduced. For process measurements it is important to measure Co e, not only Co: 10% after combustion, many fuels produce H 2, CH 4 etc. which cannot be detected by a Co measurement alone.
