6 ACTION PC 1.2 Support Broward County Government Operations GHG emissions reduction effort BC Government Carbon Footprint FY2011 carbon footprint is 250,255 tonnes eco 2. Equivalent to the emissions from 1,134 cars annually Achieved a net reduction of 5,781 tonnes of eco 2 emissions from FY2010 levels. To meet the 2015 target of 222,099 tonnes eco 2, Broward County government must reduce an additional 25,156 tonnes from 2011 emission levels. This represents an average annual reduction of 7,039 tonnes eco 2.

27 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Task 3 - Enhance Urban Reforestation 20 separate outreach events were attended by 5,308 individuals and 841 tree saplings were given away.

28 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Task 4 Appliance Rebate 2,300 County residents received $470,000 in rebates. Generated more than $2.5 million in economic stimulus, >$140,000 in tax revenues. An estimated 27 jobs were created as a result of the economic stimulus. Estimated energy savings of 334,000 MWh, Estimated annual water savings of 6.2 million gallons Reduced greenhouse gas by 7,700 metric tons.
