One of our core strengths is the ability to assess the technical feasibility of a wide range of distributed generation technologies and efficiency measures, model their performance, and combine this with knowledge of financing and available incentive programs to deliver a maximally beneficial package for the customer. Our energy efficiency experience ranges from energy audits and design of efficient heating, cooling and lighting systems to the development and deployment of our proprietary EnergyScoreCards online energy management tool. To date, Bright Power has conducted well over 500 energy audits and overseen the implementation of over 75 energy efficiency retrofits in multifamily buildings. Our energy auditing experience includes evaluating some of New York City s largest multifamily buildings. These include River Park, Gateway Plaza, Luna Park and Big Six Towers. The recommended measures were made with this in mind. Audit recommendations, implemented scope of work, and reasons for selecting specific energy and water efficiency measures: HVAC: Removal of a 60kW internal combustion co-generation engine that used natural gas as its fuel. An evaluation of the site s utility costs revealed that spending had increased since the system s installation in 2003 (it was purchased under an unfavorable power purchase agreement structure). After its removal, gas usage declined significantly (50%); electricity baseload increased, although overall electricity usage decrease. Installation of two new, condensing DHW heaters. Installation of constant airflow regulators (CARs), cleaning and sealing of ventilation ducts for significant efficiency improvement in heating system.
