1 SMALL BUSINESS PROGRAM 2017 SUMMARY OF SERVICES & INCENTIVES Effective through December 31, 2017 Last updated February 1, 2017 EFFICIENCY INCENTIVES SUMMARY The Focus on Energy Small Business Program offers prescriptive incentives for efficiency projects. These incentives are designed to motivate customers to upgrade equipment, or implement energy efficiency projects that they otherwise may not complete. Qualifying customers include businesses with an average monthly usage of 40,000 kwh or less in July and August. Where multiple buildings, utility meters, or utility accounts exist on a site, the entire campus shall collectively average 40,000 kwh or less per month for July and August. Eligible customer types include commercial and industrial businesses otherwise eligible for incentives through the Business Incentive Program who operate 9 or fewer locations. A copy of a customer s utility bills showing usage for July and August must be provided with the application. Customers of the Agriculture, Schools, and Government, Large Energy Users, and Multifamily Energy Savings Program are not eligible. Newly constructed facilities are not eligible for incentives under the Small Business Program but may qualify for incentives under the Business Incentive Program. Be sure to use the incentive catalogs for specific measure requirements and to make sure you qualify for these incentives. Find information on prescriptive incentives on the following page. OVERVIEW Focus on Energy Small Business Program provides enhanced incentive opportunities to qualifying small commercial and industrial facilities such as restaurants, retail, and small manufacturing. Customers who qualify for the Program will consume an average of 40,000 kwh or less per month for July and August. To learn more about Focus on Energy Small Business Program offerings and eligibility requirements, visit: smallbusiness, smallbiz@focusonenergy.com or call To explore special offers not included in this summary, visit: focusonenergy.com/promotions

2 STEP 1 PRESCRIPTIVE The following prescriptive incentives are available for products purchased and installed between January 1, 2017 and December 31, Incentives are subject to change without notice. For the most up to date information, visit focusonenergy.com/smallbusiness Focus on Energy prescriptive incentives offer specific dollar amounts for completing the qualifying energy efficiency measure. The customer completes a project and then submits an application specific to the technology installed or replaced. Technology qualifications and incentive amounts are found in the appropriate incentive catalog. Projects must meet all the requirements listed in the appropriate incentive catalog; this summary does not list all requirements. Applications must be submitted within 60 days of project installation. Please visit focusonenergy.com/applications to ensure you are using the most current incentive catalog. ADDITIONAL INCENTIVE OPPORTUNITIES Small Business customers can take advantage of additional incentive opportunities through the Business Incentive Program including additional HVAC, lighting, commercial refrigeration, and compressed air incentives as well as incentives for new construction. The Business Incentive Program also offers custom incentives for energy efficient upgrades not found in Focus on Energy s Incentive Catalogs. These incentives are for non-standard technologies (e.g. industrial process equipment) or for projects which do not include a one-for-one replacement. Learn more about these opportunities by visiting focusonenergy.com/business/efficientequipment. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOUR UTILITY PARTICIPATES IN FOCUS ON ENERGY BY VISITING: FOCUSONENERGY.COM/UTILITIES Focus on Energy only offers incentives for customers of qualifying electric and natural gas utilities. Other heat sources (such as propane and district steam) do not qualify for gas measures. Customers of a participating electric utility, but not a participating natural gas utility, will be eligible for electric savings technology incentives only. Customers of a participating natural gas utility, but not a participating electric utility, will be eligible for natural gas savings technology incentives only. Customers who have both a participating electric and a participating gas utility will qualify for all technology incentives.
