6 DRUMFILTER The Filtreau Drumfilter is a low maintenance filter system that provides healthy, clear water, without the user having to perform daily maintenance. Also the Filtreau Drumfilter is having very less pressure loss and can be installed pump fed or gravity fed. The water will be filtered by the 70 micron INOX316L screen filter. When the screen filter is filled with dirt, algae, etc. there can t flow enough water through the screen filter. This will result in a lower water level in the clean chamber of the Filtreau Drumfilter. This will be detected and will switch the Filtreau Drumfilter automatically in cleaning-mode. The cleaning-mode means that the filter screen will be fully cleaned and will flush all the dirt, algae, etc. into the sewer. After a few seconds, the screen filter will be clean and letting through enough water again, so the Filtreau Drumfilter will go automatically switch back into Filtration-mode. This sophisticated filtration system comes standard with a 40W UV-C Amalgam lamp. The built-in UV-C Module ensures crystal clear water. 8 SALT CHLORINATOR HOW DOES A SALT WATER CHLORINATOR WORK? Quite simply, a measured quantity of coarse salt is added to the pool water to form a mildly saline solution. Chlorine is generated by electrolysis in the Filtreau cell during the normal filtration cycle, and is thereafter returned to the pool via the aimflo, where it acts to purify the water. The system is automatic and requires only a small amount of salt to be added periodically. INSTALLING YOUR FILTREAU CHLORINATOR The chlorinator is easily fitted to any new or existing pool. The cell is plumbed, last, in the pool return line and the power pack is mounted adjacent to it for easy access and control of the cell s chlorine output and salt concentration monitoring. 10 OZONE The Filtreau OZONE is making minimal addition of chlorine and other chemicals possible. This way of filtration is extremely energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The Filtreau OZONE needs to be installed between your pipelines, in your water circuit. By using a pump, the water is pushed through the supplied Venturi. Because of the water pressure in the Venturi, air is sucked through the Ozone generator, loaded with ozone particles (1 GR/h), into the Venturi. When this loaded air makes contact with the water, the oxidation and sterilisation is taking place immediately. When you install the Filtreau OZONE before one of the Filtreau UV-C devices, your reacted Ozone (which have completed their function), will broke down again by the UV-C radiation, and makes it possible to reduce your chlorine and other chemicals up to 80%!
