3 Background The Potential of Arun LNG Plant Assets Utilization Government Program Existing Arun LNG Contract will be expired in October 2014 There is no prospective gas reserve to substitute National energy fulfillment from non oil based fuels sector Government s duty to revitalize Arun LNG plant assets utilization that integrated with Arun Belawan pipeline (based on SK Menteri BUMN no.s-141/mbu/2012) Lack of Gas Supply for Strategic Industries Operation in Aceh & North Sumatera PT PIM only operate 1 out of 2 units of their plant PT AAF stop operating since 2003 PT KKA is not actively operated. 10 Closing Remark 1. Arun Regas and Arun Belawan Gas Pipeline Projects are kye role to maximizing GoI asset to fullfill gas demand in Aceh and North Sumatera. 2. The projects are expected start operation in October 2014 although Arun Regasification may on stream in early 2015 due to shut down of LNG plant in October Potential gas field monetization surrounded facilities will be beneficial for gas producer and end user 4.
