13 Framework Assessment Data collection and quality check Analysis of data using indicators Interpretation of indicators Data collection and quality check: The coordination of the data collection was one of the responsibilities of the Project Coordinator. MIPP data tables were developed in order to have a common format for the data collection. These tables included all major notifiable aspects of the trial as well as some more subjective data such as passenger acceptance. Analysis of data using indicators: The submitted data were firstly subjected to a quality check for consistency, reliability and accuracy. They were then analysed focusing on the indicators defined for each key area. Interpretation of the indicators: The findings were then presented and discussed with Reference to the indicators defined for the different key areas. Recommendations and Projections for the investigated sectors (technology, admission, safety, and environment) were based on the finding of the different work packages Manfred Schuckert, EvoBus May, 10th 2006 Slide 13

22 CUTE: Summary CUTE and its sister projects ECTOS/STEP have reached outstanding results, not only by km and hours, but more because they have demonstrated that a public transport system based on fuel cells and hydrogen is really an option for the future Both the Fuel Cell Citaro and the hydrogen infrastructure demonstrated a very high reliability, the fuel cells even much higher than expected We also learned that the public acceptance of the Fuel Cell Buses has been tremendous The CUTE-concept is still the basis for many other projects within the EC and abroad While the general results are outstanding, many improvement potentials have been identified: at fuel cell level in the electric drive train in the hydrogen production plants in the hydrogen refuelling stations and in the project organisation Slide 23
