Introduction of WEST Oct WEST Co. Ltd 1
1. Company Status Purpose Total System Provider for Waste to Energy Research for Waste to Energy Global Marketing for Waste to Energy Technology MBT System for MSW Gasification & Electricity Generation Landfill Gas Power Station
2. Technology Description MBT (Rotary Drum Reactor) Gasification using RDF Wood Gasification Engine Generator Landfill Gas Power Plant Construction for System
3. Process for Waste to Energy Household Waste Reactor Sorting - bio drying - bag breaking - crushing RDF Gasification Combustor Steam Turbine Generator
4. Technology Description for Waste Treatment MBT BIOCON Technology - Full MBT using pretreatment process with Reactor -
Rotary Drum Reactor waste FLOW SHEET crush combustibles & resorting landfill RDF combustibles sorting combustibles organic matters landfill combustibles return compost stabilization sorting & Recovery combustibles
Rotary Drum Reactor PROCESS Reactor crushes waste with its rotating action of traction, drop, speed variation. This process completely crushes organic matters (food waste, paper) which enables perfect sorting at the next process. Added decomposed composts control moisture and microorganism of added composts creates fermented heat to dry the waste biologically. (The inside temperature of the reactor rises up to 60 ) Bio drying process in enclosed drum control easily odor and leachate. Bio drying and fermentation reduces the waste s weight and volume. (average reduce 23.9% in weight, 67% in volume)
SORTING PROCESS (1) Waste discharged from Reactor is dry enough for sorting. This gets put into trommel screen and sorted into organic matters (less than 30mm) and combustibles (more than 30mm) Combustibles (more than 30mm) Organic matters (less than 30mm)
SORTING PROCESS (2) By air classifier(#1), Combustibles get sorted into heavy weight and light weight materials Heavy weight materials get crushed by crusher Combustibles are sorted from crushed materials by air classifier(#2) Metal gets sorted by magnetic separator Light weight materials get processed next process and become fuel
RECYCLING PROCESS RDF gets created by this molding process Combustibles gets crushed and molded Dried Organic matters can also get molded
RECYCLED PRODUCTS RDF(Refuse Derived Fuel) MR(Material Recovery) construction materials, drain pipe, gasoline PDF test result by Korean government - LHV : 7,626kcal/kg - Cl : 0.77(%, wt.)
MASS BALANCE RDF 30(40) Waste 100 Reduction 50 Landfill 9 Metal 1 Compost 10(0) Note Number in ( ) reflects - Do not produce compost - Mixed compost in RDF RDF Lower Heat Value : about more than 5,000 kcal/kg RDF (mixed compost) Lower Heat Value : about 4,500kcal/kg
STRENGTHS OF Technology Reactor s perfect pretreatment Reactor s multi-function(crushing, drying, decomposing, etc.) that prepares an efficient sorting process Solution of moisture problem Moisture in MSW causes odor and leachate, lower separation efficiency, reduce RDF s caloric value This is the most appropriate solution for Asian MSW, that contains more moisture than that of other continents. Minimize landfill Technological sorting process maximizes the recycling and only 10% of MSW is going to the landfill. Proven technology Our technology is developed and improved from Dano Drum technology that has 100 years of history and has proven record. BIOCON system is a patented technology in Korea, China and US. Easy maintenance Reactor pretreats the waste completely and saves needs for many other machines By minimizing the number of machines and sizes, provides easy maintenance Obtain CDM
