What kind of program is this? Please HIGHLIGHT one of the following NACURH U: President NCC NRHH First Time Delegate THEME: Diversity & Multicultural Awareness Current Issues Personal Growth Team Building & Transitioning Start to Finish Programming Passive Programming 2. Please provide a brief description of the program. This is an interactive program that will bring awareness about planet Earth and ways to recreate old items into new treasures. You will be able to give a t-shirt new life and in return be able to use it for every day use. 3. Who was the program for? Name your target audience. This program is for anyone. It provides ways to reuse items especially t-shirts which we as college students get a lot of. It also provides information about recycling and items that can be recycled. 4. How much did the program cost? Who funded it? Please provide a brief budget breakdown. Program Cost: about $250 (t-shirts and other materials) Funded by: University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Residence Hall Association 5. How many people were involved in planning the program AND how long did it take to plan? The program was planned by two people. It took about a week and a half to get the program to what it is. We got materials, tie-dyed the t-shirts, had the bottoms sewed together, drew half circle around neckline, planned and finalized the program. 6. Why was the program started on your campus? How does it benefit the university and/or community population? This program was not done on the campus. We came up with the program idea when we found out we were going to NACURH. It benefits people wanting to help planet Earth in creative ways. 7. What were some pros/cons of the program? How could the program be improved? A pro is the program shows people how to reuse everyday items in a creative way. A con is the program was a lot of money because of the t-shirts and the dye, but in real life it wouldn t be as expensive because people would be using old t-shirts they have around. 8. How could this program be adapted for other universities? It can be adapted for other universities very easily because Going Green is very important and the presentation is about it. 9.
