Dust explosion hazard. * * * * * ************************************************************************ POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS (See Section 11 for toxicological data.) EYE: Essentially nonirritating to eyes. SKIN Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause skin irritation. A single prolonged exposure is not likely to result in the material being absorbed through skin in harmful amounts. INGESTION: Single dose oral toxicity is considered to be low. Small amounts swallowed incidental to normal handling operations are unlikely to cause injury; swallowing amounts larger than that may cause injury. INHALATION: At room temperature, exposures to vapors are minimal due to physical properties; higher temperatures may generate (Continued on page 2, over)

SYSTEMIC (OTHER TARGET ORGAN) EFFECTS: Liver effects and questionable kidney and bladder effects were observed in animals fed bisphenol A. In animals fed 2-methylimidazole effects on the thyroid, adrenal, spleen and uterus were noted. CANCER INFORMATION: Long-term animal studies on bisphenol A did not show convincing evidence for carcinogenicity. TERATOLOGY (BIRTH DEFECTS): Contains a component which did not cause birth defects; other fetal effects occurred only at doses toxic to the mother. (bisphenol A) REPRODUCTIVE EFFECTS: Data on component(s) are inadequate to determine effects on reproduction. 4. FIRST AID EYES: Flush eyes with plenty of water. SKIN: Wash off in flowing water or shower. INGESTION: If swallowed, seek medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. INHALATION: Remove to fresh air if effects occur. Consult a physician. NOTES TO PHYSICIAN: No specific antidote. Supportive care. Treatment based on judgement of the physician in response to reactions of the patient. 5. OTHER FLAMMABILITY INFORMATION: Solid organic resins tend to dust during handling. The dust, when suspended in air, is flammable if ignited, and poses a potential fire and explosion hazard. Good housekeeping and dust control is required. EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Water fog, foam, CO2 and dry chemical. PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTERS: For emergency conditions, use an approved positive pressure, self-contained breathing apparatus. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES (See Section 15 for Regulatory Information) PROTECT PEOPLE: Keep unnecessary people away; isolate hazard area and deny unnecessary entry. PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT: Keep out of sewers, storm drains, surface waters and soil. CLEANUP: Sweep up into suitable containers. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE HANDLING: Good personal hygiene should be practiced. Do not consume or store food in work area. Wash hands before smoking or eating. STORAGE: Store in a dry place. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Provide general and/or local exhaust ventilation to control airborne levels below the exposure guidelines. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT EYE/FACE PROTECTION: Use safety glasses. SKIN PROTECTION: Use gloves impervious to this material when prolonged or frequently repeated contact could occur. HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: The thermal decomposition products of these hardeners should be treated as potentially hazardous substances and appropriate precautions should be taken. HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur. 11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION (See Section 3 for Potential Health Effects. For detailed toxicological data, write or call the address or non-emergency number shown in Section 1) SKIN: The dermal LD50 has not been determined. INGESTION: The oral LD50 for rats is >2000 mg/kg. MUTAGENICITY: For bisphenol A: In vitro mutagenicity studies were predominantly negative. Animal mutagenicity studies were negative. For 2-methylimidazole in vitro mutagenicity studies were negative. 12.
