Riddhi Dyechem Industries is a partnership firm proposing to set up a Dye Manufacturing unit at Block No.: 680/p, 681/p, 682/p, (plot area : m 2 ) Village: Pariej, Taluka: Matar, District: Kheda, Gujarat Project Proponent and their back ground Company is promoted by its partner. Brief description of nature of the project: M/s. Riddhi Dyechem Industries is proposing to manufacture dyes at Block No.: 680/p, 681/p, 682/p, Village: Pariaj, Taluka: Matar, District: Kheda, Gujarat Proposed products will be used for sale purpose. Dyes manufacturing falls under Category 5(f) Synthetic Organic Chemical as stated in Environment Impact Assessment Notification Published on 14 th September, Further, the location of the proposed project is outside the notified industrial estate. Hence, the project proponent has to obtain the EC from the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, New Delhi. M/s. T. R. Associates has been appointed to carry out EIA/EMP studies for obtaining Environmental Clearance. The total plot area of company is 11,068m 2 out of which 3654 m 2 (33 % of total land) area will be developed as greenbelt area. The estimated cost of the proposed project is 6.0 Crores. Total budget allocation towards Environmental Management Facilities will be approx. Rs. 80 Lakhs. Total 30 persons will be employed including skilled persons, unskilled persons and office staff. Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region: Reactive dyes are most commonly used in dyeing of cellulose like Cotton or Flax, and also Wool is dyeable with reactive dyes. India accounts for approximately 16 per cent of the world production of dyestuff and dye intermediates, particularly for reactive acid and direct dyes.

3 The proposed product, Reactive dyes are mainly used in dyeing operation of natural fiber. These dyes have a worldwide acceptance to the dyeing technologies for dyeing cotton. Demand Supply Gap: In 2010, India produced ~200,000 tonnes of dyes. Of this, 50% were reactive dyes due to the availability of important raw materials like Vinyl Sulphone, etc. Nearly 70% of the dyestuff was supplied to the textile industry while leather and paper industries accounted for the remaining. The overall production capacity of dyestuffs is 200,000 tonnes per annum. With the ever increasing standards of quality and reliability, Indian dyestuffs industry meets more than 95% of the domestic requirement, out of which textile industry consumes nearly 60% and the remaining is shared by paper, leather & other consumer industries. As far as pigments are concerned, the market size is 115,000 tonnes. The main consumer industries are printing inks, paints, plastics, rubber, etc., accounting for 70% of the end use. Whereas many of the plants all over the world are very large size, there are many SME units in India, which are capable of producing quality colorants. Gujarat and Maharashtra account for nearly 95% of the colorant production in the country. Imports v/s Indigenous production: Indian market is open and big that is why every kind of import is booming. During the last decade, the industry was growing at an average growth of 2 3% per annum. Today, Indian dyestuffs industry comprises about 950 units (50 in large and organized sector and 900 units under Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) Sector). These units are mainly present in the western states of Gujarat and Maharashtra, with Gujarat accounting for almost 80% of capacity. The per capita consumption of dyes in India is 50 gms as compared to 400 gms in Europe, 300 gms in Japan which shows that there is tremendous potential for the Indian market. Export Possibility: Reactive dyes are used for dyeing of natural fiber. Reactive dyes are quite expensive for export. So we have only local market for sale. Exports of dyes is progressively showing an upward trend since the last two years. Major exports of dyes are to developed countries like Germany, U.K., U.S.A., Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Singapore and Japan. Exports of Dyes to Latin American and African Countries have also started picking up. These are new emerging markets for the Indian exporters. The industry has prepared a future strategic action plan.. The industry needs to create a

4 set up to monitor very regularly the growth in exports and take necessary corrective action along the route to achieve the target. Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to the project: This project will provide direct employment to 30 persons whereas it will provide employment to many others indirectly. 4. Project Description (i) Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects: Reactive dyes are used in dyeing of Cotton, rayon, flax,, and otherr cellulosicc fibers. So Textile industries will be interdependent on Dyes industries. 6 (v) Project description with process details Details of manufacturing process are given in Annexure 4 of Form 1. (vi) Raw material required along with estimated quantity Details of raw material consumption is given in Annexure 3 of Form 1. (vii) Resource optimization/ recycling and reuse envisaged in the project, if any, should be briefly outlined. Latest Process technology will be adopted as available in market with optimum resources requirement with highest yield and less waste and pollution generation. Treated industrial effluent will be reused in cooling and other possible activities. In addition to this, all the feasible cleaner production technologies will be adopted. (viii) Availability of water its source, Energy/ power requirement and source should be given. Energy/power requirement will be 150 kva which will be procured through Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited. The total water requirement will be 100 kl/day which will be fulfilled by own Borewell. (ix) Quantity of wastes to be generated (liquid and solid) and scheme for their Management/disposal Hazardous Waste Generation and Disposal Details of hazardous waste generation and its disposal are given in Annexure 5 of Form 1. Wastewater Generation and Disposal Facility Details of domestic as well as industrial wastewater generation and its disposal are given in Annexure 7 of Form 1.

(3) Nearest airport: Ahmedabad Airport is 60 km from the project site. (4) Power: 375 kva from Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited. (5) Water: Source of the water will be a borewell. (6) Basic amenities: Good road connectivity with state and national highway. (7) Post Office: Tarapur which is 4.5 km away from the project site (vi) Soil classification of Kheda District The soils of the district can be classified into the following Cropping main types: goradu (gravelly),black,sandy and Pattern rocky type. The principal crops grown in Kheda are the ordinary millets and pulses, rice, wheat, tobacco and a little indigo. Bajri is the principal crop and the staple grain food. Tobacco is the most valuable crop produced in the district. It is grown mostly in the charotar tract. Castor seed and sesame are the only oilseeds grown in the district. (vii) Climate data from secondary source General climate of the district is sub tropical and is characterised by three well defined seasons, i.e. summer from April to June, monsoon from July to September, and winter from October to March. Temperature Means Maximum temperatures ranges between 28.4 C during January to about 41.8 C during May and the mean minimum temperatures vary between 11.7 C during January and 27 C during June. Humidity The relative humidity in Anand as per IMD varies between 32% during March and 79% during August. 11 Rainfall More than 90% of the rainfall occurs during the monsoon. Rainfall during the winter and summer months is negligible. The average annual rainfall(1994 to 2010) of the district is mm. (viii) Social Infrastructure available. Industrialisation/Entrepreneurship: During the decade Cement& Gypsum sector has shown maximum investments followed by Paper and its products industry to the tune of Rs. 1,372 Crore nearly 59 % of the total investments and has created next highest employment of 2,974 jobs and followed by electrical equipment sector has also create 1,748 jobs in the district. Highest employment was generated by the Textile sector with 6,002 jobs during and an investment of Rs. 186 Crore. Cement & Gypsum sector has emerged as a new sector attracting highest investment of Rs. 208 Crore contributing 47 % of the total investments in the district during Food processing industries attracted next highest investment of Rs. 86 Crore with creating as many as 301 jobs. Plastic and its Products grew tremendously attracting investment of rs. 44 Crore with nearly 50 % increase in total number of units and generating employment of 528 jobs. The nearest airport is located in Vadodara only 38 km away from the district Headquarter Nadiad. It connects the district with important cities such as Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune. The nearest ports are Hajira and Dahej. Marketing Potential: The proposal for setting up an integrated Textile Park in Kheda is expected to fuel the industrial and economic growth of the district with increase in employment opportunities and investments in the textile sector. Kheda has some of the best mineral based industries which offer scope of further investments in the Mining sector.there is good infrastructure in the district for the sale of industrial goods and services manufactured and produced. 2. 12 Proposed project site is located near to State Highway 16 and well connected to the internal roads and highways. The site is well connected to Kheda, Matar and Tarapur, where all the infrastructural and transportation facilities are available. In 2001 census, Kheda had a population of 2,024,216 of which males were 1,052,823 and remaining 971,393 were females. Kheda District population constituted 3.81 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Kheda District was at 3.99 percent of Maharashtra population. 13 (iv) Assessment of Infrastructure Demand (Physical & Social). Surrounded villages in 10 km area from the project site are having all the necessary physical and social infrastructure facilities due to agricultural activities, animal husbandry and industrial development within the area as well the nearby town. (v) Amenities/Facilities. All the basic amenities/facilities such as power connection & power back up, drinking water, internal roads, water & wastewater treatment plant etc. will be provided. 3. Proposed Infrastructure a. Industrial Area Industry has provided 1956 m 2 built up area for industrial process/manufacturing activity which provides all needed facility including proper ventilation, safe handling system, etc. b. Residential Area Industry will provide labor quarter for their labors and provide all basic facilities to them. c. Green Belt. 3,654 m 2 area will be proposed for greenbelt development. In addition to this, project proponent will participate in greenbelt development programs in nearby areas under their CSR. d. Social Infrastructure The proponent will provide social infrastructure facilities within 10 km radius of the proposed project. Education Facilities: Many Facilities for village schools like game kits, drawing kits, table chairs; school construction (classroom/toilet/school boundary), ceiling fans/ coolers or books for school library are proposed. Health Facilities: Assistance to existing health facilities in nearest Hospital, for improvement in health facilities or services.

Connectivity (Traffic and Transportation Road / Rail / Metro / Water ways Proposed project site is located adjacent to State Highway 0.5 Kms and well connected to the internal roads and highways. The site is well connected to Tarapur Town and Kheda District. f. Drinking Water Management In proposed project, out of 100 kl/day water approx. 2 kl/day water will be consumed for domestic purpose g. Sewerage System. Domestic wastewater 1.8 kl/day will be disposed off through Septic Tank/ Soak Pit System. h. Industrial Wastewater Management. Industrial wastewater will be generated from process, boiler blow down, washing & RO 1. Wastewater (washing and process) will be collected collection cum neutralization tank. Then wastewater will be given Primary secondary and teriotary treatment. High TDS water from RO reject will be sent to Spray Drier. ETP sludge along with evaporation residue from evaporator will be will be disposed of at TSDF site. Thus, unit will maintain Zero Effluent Discharge. i. Solid/Hazardous Waste Management ETP waste residue, discarded bags/barrels, used oil & edge cutting waste are the main solid hazardous waste that will be generated from the proposed unit. ETP sludge will be collected, stored into solid waste storage area and disposed to authorized TSDF site. Discarded bags and containers will be sold to approve vendor. Edge cutting waste will be disposed off to common incineration facility. j. Power Requirement & Supply / source Power requirement for the proposed project will be approx. 150 kva which will be obtained from MGVCL. 4. Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R & R) Plan Not applicable.

15 5. Project Schedule & Cost Estimates (i) Likely date of start of construction and likely date of completion (Time schedule for the project to be given) Construction work is not yet started. Construction work for laminated sheets manufacturing unit will be started from January 2017 where as construction work related to Resin manufacturing plant will be only started after obtaining EC. (ii) Estimated project cost along with analysis in terms of economic viability of the project. Total cost of the entire project is approx. 6.0 Crore. (iii) Plant Layout
