(SECI) a Nodal Agency under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India Incorporated in September, 2011 Authorised Share Capital of 2000 Cr. Main objects include: To implement and promote National Solar Mission To channelize investments into Solar energy sector on commercial principles; To build, own and operate Solar projects; To set industry benchmarks of quality and performance; To be the first-mover in technology for widespread replication; To generate market competition and make it selfsustaining. 300 kw, IIT Madras Net Profit in FY : ~ 465 Million Mandate to cover entire RENEWABLE ENERGY portfolio.

8 SECI s Grid Connected Rooftop Scheme This first-of-its kind scheme was launched in Jan 2013 As of now SECI has come out with various phases of: 26.6 MWp scheme Phase I to III (Year 2013) 50 MWp scheme- Phase IV (Year 2014 & 2015) 50 MWp scheme for CPWD (Year ) 500 MWp scheme with CFA On-going (Year 2016) 1000 MWp scheme incentive scheme (Phase I 500 MW - Final stages of allocation Many More schemes are being planned
9 Implementation Model Projects are implemented under two broad business models CAPEX (Ownership Model) bids invited on project cost RESCO (PPA Model) bids invited on tariff Achievements so far Rooftop programme expanded from Tier I to Tier III cities: covering 20 States/UTs, over 100 cities Benchmark cost reduced from Rs. 130/Wp to Rs. 60/Wp 120+ MWp capacity allocated among 40 successful bidders covering 20 States including Andaman & Nicobar Islands of India More than 100 MWp (>400 nos. projects) rooftop capacity sanctioned so far. 90+ MWp commissioned Rs Cr CFA released to the project developers
