Eye Contact: If substance has got into eyes, wash out with water for at least 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention. Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and drench affected skin with plenty of water. Seek immediate medical attention. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Flash Point: The product has a melting point ~ C. Like any organic chemical it may burn in presence of a fire. Extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder, chemical foam and water fog. Avoid the use of water jet to extinguish chemical fires. Keep containers cool with water. Special fire fighting procedures: As in any chemical fire wear a self-contained breathing apparatus MSHA/NIOSH (or equivalent approved) and full protective gloves. Do not permit the chemical/ fire effluent to enter the environment as far as possible. Unusual fire and explosion hazard: During combustion toxic fumes of Carbon monoxide, Hydrogen cyanide, oxides of nitrogen and Oxides of sulphur may be emitted.. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES General Information : Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8. Use acid resistant equipment as far as possible. Drench all equipment with water before transporting from incident. Spills / Leaks : Sweep up and collect material in covered containers and wash spill site after material pick up is complete. Avoid raising dust. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling : This product should be handled only by, or under the close supervision of, trained personnel. It should always be handled in an efficient fume hood or equivalent system. The toxicological and physiological properties of many compounds are not yet well determined and new hazardous products may arise from reactions between chemicals. Care should be taken to prevent this chemical from coming into contact with the skin or eyes and from contaminating personal clothing. Use acid resistant equipment when handling this chemical. Storage : Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from sources of heat, combustible materials, and incompatible substances. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Product is light sensitive.
