Electron Accelerator 1MeV, 500kW Efremov Research Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus, Russia

Accelerator for EBFGT Acelera,USA Acelera has developed a v e r y c o m p a c t a n d e c o n o m i c a l f l u e g a s treatment system based on its novel rotating wave accelerator. The use of this state-of-the-art accelerator reduces space and power requirements, thus making it a very viable and costeffective solution for flue gas t r e a t m e n t

Lastron beam technology PAVAC Industries Inc., Canada

High repetition pulsed accelerator JNR, Dubna, Russia Energy 700 kv Power 300 kw Pulse 5 A duration µs Frequency khz

Intense pulse relativistic electron beam Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan Studies on flue-gas treatment are being carried out by using intense pulsed relativistic electron beam (IREB) with electron energy on the order of 100 kv and beam current over 1 ka. The advantage of IREB for gastreatment is its high-energy capability which allows simultaneous gas-treatment over long distance and in large volume. The induction electron-beam accelerator "ETIGO-III" is used in this experiment.

Conclusions EBFGT is very effective for flue gas purification both from coal and oil combustion boilers, new p r o j e c t s a r e f o r e s e e n. New applications concern Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons treatment, especially at waste incinerators. Hybrid systems are investigated. Accelerators need further developments, however feasible units are offered at the market.
