Kansas Department f Agriculture Divisin f Water Resurces (DWR) Needed when wrking in the fldplain r in streams with greater than 240- acre drainage area. A State permit fr the dam is required if the dam/impundment exceeds the fllwing: If the Dam is 25 feet r higher (frm te t tp f dam) If the dam is between 6 and 25 feet high AND it impunds 50 acre-feet f water MEASURED AT THE TOP OF DAM Additinally, a water rights permit is required if the dam impunds >15 acre feet f strage at the PERMANENT POOL Ntify applicant f requirement and btain a cpy f the permit applicatin. Verify that COE Sectin 404 permit requirements have been satisfied (unless already cmpleted with PC develpment plan apprvals). Unless the site has n identifiable streams r drainageways, btain ne f the fllwing: Cpy f valid COE Sectin 404 permit (verify that descriptin and dates are valid). Letter frm applicant indicating that n Waters f the U.S. are impacted by prpsed cnstructin. Grading in FEMA fldplain Apprved Fldplain Develpment Permit required prir t issuance f permit. (See plicy dcument FLOODPLAIN REGULATION fr mre infrmatin). Cpy f KDOT permit if in state right-f-way.
