1 Dripline Dripline PC with Rootguard Protection Subsurface Drip System for Residential, Commercial and Golf Course Applications Application: Toro DL2000 is the most technologically advanced subsurface irrigation system available. Through revolutionary, non-toxic ROOTGUARD technology, DL2000 delivers optimal water application directly to the root zone while impeding roots from clogging the emitters. DL2000 is perfect for lawns, shrub areas, median strips, public recreation areas and parking islands. Also a solution for golf course applications including, bunker edges, bunker tongues, tees and greens. Features: ROOTGUARD Technology - This patented technology guards against roots growing into the emitters and plugging them. Design Flexibility - DL2000 fits into narrow and odd-shaped spaces. Ease of Maintenance - DL2000 is easy to install and requires minimal maintenance. Uniform Water Application - pressurecompensating, self-cleaning emitters provide precise water application. Available in 12", 18" or 24" spacing.

3 Design Typical DL2000 Subsurface Applications Borders/Medians Parking Lots Flower Beds/Shrub Areas Golf Courses Public Recreation Areas Irrigation Frequency The interval between irrigations depends on the average soil type. Light (sandy) soil should be watered frequently with short irrigation duration. Heavy (clay) soils can be watered less frequently with longer irrigation duration. Maximum daily plant requirements should be used to establish the emitter spacing in the dripline as well as the flow rate of the emitters. Irrigation time should not exceed the soil s infiltration rate. 4 System Components Drip Zone Valve Kit Place the kit before each drip zone. Kit includes ball valve, Y-filter, control valve, pressure regulator and necessary fittings. Available in 3 /4 or 1, low- and medium-flow valves (see part numbers below). Air/Vacuum Relief Valves Essential to provide vacuum relief within the irrigation system. (Part Numbers YD ) Recommend on all high points of irrigation system to provide vacuum relief at system shutdown Staples Used to secure irrigation system when installed above ground. Use 1 SS6 staple for every 2 of DL2000 in sand, every 4 in loam and every 5 in clay. Use 1 SS6 staple over each fitting adapter and 2 over each tee and elbow. Automatic Line Flushing Valves Provides for system flushing each time the system is started. (Part Numbers FCH-H-FIPT 3 /4 FPT, sealing pressure; FCH-H-FHT 3 /4 FHT, sealing pressure) Install at furthest point from the water source. Install in valve box with a gravel bed capable of absorbing about 1 gallon of water. Operation Indicator A visual indicator that pops-up during each subsurface irrigation cycle. (Part Number DL-MP9 Pop-up DL2000 Operation Indicator) Maintenance Tips Drip Zone Valve Kits Part Number Description Flushing keeps the DL2000 dripline clean. Any particles that accumulate at the end of the submains and driplines will be expelled from the system. This process can be automated or done manually. Problem detection is not complicated. Leaks can be found easily by walking the system and looking for excessively wet areas. Pressures should be checked routinely and compared to earlier pressures. Clean the filter as often as necessary. In new installations the filter should be checked frequently. When using clean potable water sources, two cleanings a year are enough. 5 Features and Benefits Precise Water Application Environmentally Friendly Flowers, shrubs and grass will receive the precise amount of water required for proper plant health while at the same time eliminating water marks on expensive hardscapes such as walls, glass or signage. Safer Surroundings When DL2000 is installed below ground, the landscape surface is free from irrigation equipment that may disrupt activities or cause injury. Over spray and irrigation runoff are minimized and water is applied directly to the root zone, therefore slippery walkways are no longer a liability. Irrigating with Toro DL2000 saves water. Irrigation takes place at or below grade so there is minimal water loss due to mist, evaporation, run-off or wind. In addition, the amount of chemigation and fertigation required to maintain the health of your landscape is decreased since these are applied directly at the root zone. DL2000 requires less handling, so it is safer than any other sub-surface irrigation product on the market. Design Flexibility DL2000 irrigation systems fit narrow and odd-shaped landscape perfectly. Irrigate trees, shrubs, ground cover and turf in virtually any landscape area. And DL " microline tubing is ideal for small, tight areas. Advantages of SDI. More efficient water usage Greater application uniformity No run-off or overspray Reduced weed growth Healthier plants Less pest and vandal damage

6 ROOTGUARD Technology About ROOTGUARD Technology Toro DL2000 dripline features patented, non-toxic ROOTGUARD technology, which prevents roots from clogging irrigation emitters. The pre-emergent, TREFLAN, is impregnated into the emitter during the molding process and requires virtually no maintenance. There are no filters to change and no chemically treated disks to handle, making it the safest subsurface system in the market. Once DL2000 dripline is installed in the ground, the slow release of TREFLAN creates a barrier around the emitter. Roots are directed away from the emitter opening, ensuring optimal water application. More Micro-Irrigation DL2000 with ROOTGUARD protection inhibits root intrusion directly at the emitter opening. Toro offers a vast selection of reliable micro-irrigation products.
