It was the first higher education institution of its kind within our nation's technical and vocational education system. By extending this system to the highest level, this new school was intended to meet the need created by our rapid economic and industrial development for highly trained bachelor's degree-level engineers and managers. In 1979 and 1982, NTIT added master's and doctoral programs, respectively. The Marie Curie Action invited Prof. C.H. Young from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology to work in Europe from 2014 to The project has been carefully chosen to match Prof. C.H. Young expertise in Heat Insulation Solar Glass (HISG) for HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) with the expertise in sustainable energy and buildings technologies at the University of Nottingham so as to maximize the benefit to Europe. The heat insulation solar glass developed by Prof. C.H. Young can possess higher power generation, heat insulation, saving air condition in summer time and saving heater in winter time. Prof. Young is the leader of Heat Insulation Solar Glass Research Group (HISGRG). The purpose of this visiting is to introduce a new developed construction material for Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB) called Heat Insulation Solar Glass (HISG). Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB) is a kind of highest ideal for energy efficiency buildings due to no extra power is needed from grid to supply the energy consumption inside the buildings. It requires both reducing the energy consumption and supplying enough renewable energy. A kind of Heat Insulation Solar Glass (HISG) is introduced here to help reach the target of ZEB due to it can both generate high solar power and reduce the energy consumption of cooling and heating system. According to a real testing of glass house, the HISG glass house generated 686 kwh of solar power and only consumed 317 kwh of cooling and heating system and remained 368 kwh power to supply other electric facilities during 265 days. A simulation for the energy efficiency of a large area HISG skylight was performed to show it capacity on energy efficiency on a real building. 2 3
