3 TALUS Insect Grwth Regulatr cntains the active ingredient, buprfezin. It is effective against the nymph stages f whiteflies by inhibiting chitin bisynthesis, suppressing vipsitin f adults, and reducing viability f eggs. Treated susceptible pests may remain alive n the plant fr 3-7 days, but feeding damage during this time is typically very lw. Gd cverage is essential. Treatment shuld be applied when ppulatin level reaches ecnmic threshld. Cnsult lcal agricultural authrities fr details. Apply by grund applicatin equipment with the spray vlume apprved under DIRECTIONS FOR USE. The restrictin n spray vlume will limit the size f plant treated in rder t ensure cmplete cverage. INSECTS CONTROLLED Whiteflies MIXING, LOADING, AND HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS SPECIFIC MIXING INSTRUCTIONS TALUS ALONE: Fill spray tank with 3/4 f the amunt f water needed fr the intended applicatin and agitate. Pur recmmended amunt f prduct n the surface f water in the spray tank. Add the balance f the water t the spray tank while maintaining agitatin. Maintain agitatin during filling and spraying peratins. If spraying must be stpped befre emptying the sprayer, resume agitatin befre spraying the remainder f the lad. RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT Fr resistance management, please nte that TALUS cntains a Grup 16 Insecticide. Any insect ppulatin may cntain individuals naturally resistant t TALUS and ther Grup 16 Insecticides. The resistant individuals may dminate the insect ppulatin if this grup f insecticides is used repeatedly in the same greenhuses. Other resistance mechanisms that are nt linked t site f actin but are fr individual chemicals, such as enhanced metablism, may als exist. Apprpriate resistancespecific management strategies shuld be fllwed. T delay insecticide resistance: Where pssible, rtate the use f TALUS r ther Grup 16 Insecticides with different grups that cntrl the same pests in a greenhuse. Use tank mixtures with insecticides frm a different grup when such use is permitted. Insecticide use shuld be based n an IPM prgram that includes scuting and recrd keeping, and cnsiders cultural, bilgical and ther chemical cntrl practices. 5 STORAGE AND DISPOSAL STORAGE Keep pesticide in riginal cntainer. D nt put cncentrate r dilute slutins int fd r drink cntainer. Stre in cl, dry, and well ventilated place away frm seed, fd, feed, fertilizer r ther pesticides. D nt stre diluted spray. DISPOSAL 1. Triple- r pressure-rinse the empty cntainer. Add the rinsings t the spray mixture in the tank. 2. Fllw prvincial instructin fr any required additinal cleaning f the cntainer prir t its dispsal. 3. Make the empty cntainer unsuitable fr further use. 4. Dispse f the cntainer in accrdance with prvincial requirements. 5. Cntact the manufacturer and the prvincial regulatry agency in case f a spill, and fr clean-up f spills.
