7 Basics of thermal dispersio techology The priciple: Gas flows by a heated sesig elemet ad causes coolig dow of the elemet by the mass flow (molecules) direct mass flow measuremet, uaffected by gas pressure ad temperature chages Measuremet is based o a PT 100, a additioal o-heated sesor is used as a referece. The amout is directly related to the mass flow. 7

12 Humidity Correctio 1. Temperature Method Based o temperature of the biogas ad assumig a relative humidity of 100% the water cotets ca be calculated by stadard method ca be used oly directly after the digester. Eve if a gas cooler is used to dry the gas, directly after the gas cooler the gas is 100% water damp saturated. But gas temperature must't be icreased due to blowers, direct su light etc. I these cases temperature method will calculate a wrog (too high) water damp portio. 2. Dew-Poit Method Usig a special probe, the relative humidity ad so the water cotets ca be determied. The probe is sesitive agaist H 2 S, therefore it ca be used oly after the filter at very low H 2 S-cocetratios. 12
