4 Sheet 2: Assembly Procedure STEP 1 - Check carefully the trunk content with the packing list (sheet 1) before any installation. STEP 2 - Identify a proper pumping, treatment and distribution zone : to running surface water. Avoid stagnant Water. Avoid proximity of waste dumping areas, toilets, stocking zones of chemical pollutants. - the maximum height between the surface water level and the entry point into the foldable tank should not exceed 7 meters. - the bottom of the foldable tank should be at least 1 meter higher than the distribution system to allow for enough pressure (gravity) is completed, for a safe distribution of the water. Maximum Height 7 Meters STEP 5 - Install the pump : Connect the pumping hose to reach out the surface running water to fill up the tank STEP 6 - Install the foldable tank on a flat horizontal surface to ensure stability : Foresee a height difference between the bottom of the tank and the water distribution stand of at least 1 meter to generate enough water pressure at the tap level (thru gravity). STEP 7 - Assemble the 3 pieces mixer. a b 1m minimum b 1m minimum a STEP 3 - Mark out the site using the red and white safety flagging tape. Establish a quality and safety perimeter. STEP 8 - Assemble the 5 pieces water distribution stand, connect it to the foldable tank with the transparent hose. c Always keep beneficiaries off this limit while working on the treatment. STEP 4 - Fill-up oil and gasoline pump tanks. STEP 9 - Prime the pump with raw water and fill up the foldable tank. Fill up until the 1000 L mark printed on the tank. STEP 10 - Treat the water and distribute according to Sheet 3 Operating procedure. 5L Petrol Oil

5 Sheet 3: Operating Procedure water treatment Step 1 - Evaluation of raw water turbidity level Evaluate the water turbidity with the turbidimeter. Fill the turbidimeter with the raw water and empty it until you could see clearly the black circle printed at the bottom of the tube. When you can see it clearly then read the corresponding turbidity level on the scale printed on the turbidimeter. Step 2 - Tablet introduction Once the foldable tank has been filed up with 1000 L of raw water, open the bucket and take 5 tablets. One tablet can treat 200 liters or 53 gal US. order (not broken into pieces or heavily stained ). Handle tablets with care. empty wrappers, do not litter. Step 3 - Mixing the water for 5 minutes The Aquasure double layered tablet allow the treatment of unclean contaminated water by means of a sequenced double action. Firstly by coagulation-flocculation. Secondly by chlorination (patented sequenced action). Mixing will allow the first phase, coagulation flocculation, to take place. water it is recommended to mix manually with gentle up and down movements during 5 minutes. It will allow for an homogeneous distribution of the flocculation agents. Use the mixer and do not use other mixing solutions. Pump are prohibited to mix the water as it could break the flocks and negatively affect the treatment. disinfection agent will float on the surface. Do not break the floating tablet. Step 4 - Disinfection. Treatment time from 45 to 90 minutes. bottom of the foldable tank in a rather compact sludge of more or less one liter volume. releases chlorine into the water and carries out the disinfection. (Aquasure patent) allowing chlorine to be released at a safe distance from the flocks, thus avoiding the development of chlorine by-products. The Aquasure tablet does not guarantee the elimination of chemical pollutants. temperature (15 C wait for 90 minutes, 25 C and above wait for 45 minutes).. Step 5 - Measure residual free chlorine before consumption After the treatment the water must be clear. Check the turbidity is inferior to 5 NTU. Measure the residual free chlorine using the chlorine test provided in the Kit. Residual free chlorine control procedure : - Fill «Cl» pink test tube with treated water to the mark - Add 1 reactive DPD 1 tablet - Re-close the tube and shake well for a few seconds - Compare color of water in the test tube with the pink color scale. Read free chlorine level. Results: If residual free chlorine is to 0,5 mg/l and turbidity inferior to 5 NTU water can be distributed. If residual free chlorine is < to 0,5 mg/l and /or turbidity is higher than 5 NTU the water should not be distributed. Empty the tank. Clean it and re-do the treatment. Step 6 - Water distribution Once the treatment is completed you may start the water distribution. point in time beneficiaries to enter your quality /safety perimeter. es around 20 seconds. Step 7 - Clean the bottom of the foldable tank after each treatment

6 pacity of treatment: ablet for 200 liters of water (52.8 gal US) Sheet 4: Data sheet Name of the product Use Aquasure tablet on water from O to more than 2000 NTU Two-layers tablet for clarification and disinfection of water Composition Coagulation and Flocculation agents, Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate (NaDCC) dihydrate (2,49% of NaDCC dihydrate or 24,9g/Kg NaDCC dihydrate). Xi Irritant Restriction of use Raw water turbidity : from 0 to more than 2000 NTU The Aquasure tablet doesn t guarantee the elimination of chemical pollutants. Wide range of efficiency in terms of : Clarification (Coagulation / Flocculation): On both clear and turbid water from 0 to more than 2000 NTU Effective in removing heavy metals : Action on Arsenic and Manganese (with filtration) Disinfection : Kill virus (>5 log), Bacterias (>4 log),) and some protozoa (amibias, giardia) (>3 log). BASR (3 log). The cysts are evacuated into the sedimented mud. Time of action : Depending on the temperature of the water from 45 minutes (at 25 C) to 90 minutes (at 15 C). Capacity of treatment: 1 tablet for 200 liters of water (52.8 gal US) 5 tablets for 1000 liters Quick dissolution of the flocculating components : effervescent agents Neutral taste : No strong after taste /no chlorine taste/no smell. Free residual chlorine (about mg/l). Water conservation : Keep the treated water in a clean container out of light maximum 48 hours. Conservation of the product : Maximum 24 months after the production date written on the package. Transport regulation: Certified non comburant. No transport restriction for air, sea, land transportation. Precaution of use : the treatment process. It may affect the coagulation process by breaking the flocks. conditions. direct light and sun. place away from sun. The Aquasure Emergency Kit is designed to operate as described above and is not meant to be used differently or for other use than those described above. The Aquasure Emergency kit requires imperatively the use of certified Aquasure tablet. The proper handling of the Aquasure Emergency kit requires a skilled and trained operator. Keeps the Aquasure Emergency kit content and the Aquasure tablets away from children. Do not eat the tablets. If swallowed, see medical advice immediately and show the original Aquasure packaging. ablets for 1000 liters me of the product :
