9 The network of academic communities Goals: Establishment of permanent relationship between the leading Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) or information centers opened within the database of universities of Central Asian countries and Afghanistan in the field of natural resource management, agriculture, irrigation and sustainable development; Exchange of teaching experience, modern methods and technologies as well as thematic and practical knowledge among academics in Central Asia and Afghanistan; Promotion of the principles of practical application of research studies for sustainable development in Central Asia and Afghanistan; Implementation of modern methods and tools in the process of teaching, based on the new knowledge, skills and competences, received during the experience exchange and capacity building; Development of common teaching principles, considering best practices of teaching in Europe, the US and former Soviet Union in the field of natural resource management, agriculture and irrigation, environment and sustainable development for the Central Asian region; Building partnerships with thematic networks of other regions for the experience exchange; Building mutually beneficial relationships with the popular scientific publishers in Central Asian countries to promote the results of students research studies and to increase the possibility of publishing their works.
