1 The 7 th International Renewable Energy Congress March 22-24, 2016 Hammamet Tunisia Congress Program

2 The 7 th International Renewable Energy Congress March 22-24, 2016 Hammamet Tunisia SPECIAL SESSIONS FOR SPECIAL ISSUES IN JOURNALS Towards Valorization of Hydrogen Energy: Production and Storage (TVHE: PS) Contributions formulate investigations on Hydrogen energy and fuel cells that highlights the efficiency of this energy source. Organized by: Prof. Abdeslam-Hassen MENIAI Automation and Renewable Energy Systems (ARES) Contributions present applications of advanced automation strategies applied to renewable energy systems, showing advantages over classical approaches. Organized by: Prof. Julio Elias NORMEY-RICO Coordinated by: Dr. Jeff PIEPPER Modern Nonlinear Dynamics of Renewable Energy Systems (MNDRES) Contributions formulate a nonlinear model, determine closed-form-exact or numerical solutions, or establish analytical properties of a renewable energy application. Contributions dealing with solar energy are especially welcomed, although all renewable energy would be considered. Organized by: Prof. Ahmad HARB Renewables for Smart Grids and Sustainable Societies (RSGSS) The RSGSS session deals with any topic on renewable energy sources (solar, wind, bio mass, geothermal, etc...) and waste recycling schemes to enable green operation and maintaining of facilities. It also deals with designing, controlling and optimizing renewable energy sources generation and distribution to communities. That also includes matching demands and supply, as well as dynamically managing electricity demands of communities. Organized by: Dr. Ahmad ATIEH Coordinated by: Dr. Fariborz Haghighat

3 Wind as a Source of Energy (WSE) The session accepts research papers on rotors and blades aerodynamics; machine subsystems and components design; power generation control and transmission; wind potential estimation and evaluation, wind speed measurement and recording. Organized by: Dr. Mohamed Kesraoui Coordinated by: Prof. Jon McGowan Optimization of Renewable Energy Resources (ORER) Papers formulate studies and implementations that improve the use of renewable energy resources. Optimization may be technological or control based. Although the papers can deal with any renewable energy sources, contributions for photovoltaic systems are especially welcomed. Organized by: Prof. Mohamed FAISAL Ancillary Services by renewable power plants and Distributed Generation for Smart Grids (ASDGSG) In the general context of smart grids or limited isolated grids (e.g. islands), the contributions should address the following topics: - study on the participation of distributed generation, mainly renewable non programmable energy (RENP) sources (e.g. solar, wind, wave systems and cogenerative systems) and storage to frequency and voltage regulation services: - conventional or methaeuristic models (e.g. ANN) of power output of RENP generators; - load/generation forecasting methods. Extended versions of selected papers will be published in Springer's Journal on Intelligent Industrial Systems. Organized by: Prof. Giuseppe Marco TINA and Dr. Giorgio GRADITI Biomass Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development (BE2SD) Contributions should present investigations on biomass and waste recovery, aqueous and gaseous effluents treatment. Organized by: Dr. Mejdi Jeguirim
