10 POTENTIAL CHANGES IN FUTURE PROGRAM YEARS T-12s: Standard Rebate for all T-12 retrofit and new fixture replacements will be significantly reduced, due to federal energy efficiency standards. LEDs: Exterior LED and induction lighting rebate will likely decrease from current rate of $0.30 per kwh saved to $0.20 per kwh saved. Natural Gas: Custom Rebate rate may be reduced to $2.00 per therm saved. 10

11 KEY DATES TO KEEP IN MIND Illinois Energy Now is an ongoing program beginning June 1 and ending May 31 each year. Funding is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. April 1, 2015 Deadline for submitting new Pre-Approval Applications. May 8, 2015 Deadline for completing projects and submitting Final Applications. 11

29 PROJECT ELIGIBILITY Projects must be physically located in Illinois. Customer must receive energy delivery service from participating utility. Projects must be public sector. Projects must meet the minimum 60% efficiency (HHV) with at least 20% of total useful energy output in the form of useful thermal energy. Existing CHP systems are eligible if CHP system has not operated in last 3 years and would require a 2+ year payback to repair/upgrade and bring back online. 29

41 EFFICIENT LIVING: PUBLIC HOUSING PROGRAM FOR ELIGIBLE PHAS GOALS Achieve Electric and Natural Gas savings in public housing Provide Grants for Energy Efficiency Upgrades Savings in Energy Costs and Consumption 41

42 INTRODUCTION: PROGRAM OVERVIEW Grants years run from June 1 to May 31 of the following year. All ECRMs should be purchased and installed by May 31, ECRMs are 1-for-1 replacement. The PHA agrees to own and operate ECRMs for at least 5 years. Grants go directly to PHA. 42

43 INTRODUCTION: PROGRAM OVERVIEW Grants to PHAs: 50% upfront; 50% on final invoice Project inventory and plans are required. All ECRMS based on approved specifications must be purchased. Any change in specifications or ECRMS without approval could result in a request to return funds. 43
