Second Iteration GoldSET allows the refinement of the evaluation by deselecting options When comparing only the three best options from the first iteration, it became obvious that the Hydraulic Barrier was underperforming when compared to the other two options The option was ignored and testing took place with the other two

27 Pilot Test Findings and a Second Paradigm Shift Data analysis from MPE testing showed erratic behaviour of the LNAPL thicknesses (well screen submerged and increase in LNAPL thick.) This observation challenged the way we interpreted diesel transport with a water table fluctuating between the overburden and the fractured bedrock Pilot Testing for the oxygenation of groundwater showed that biodegradation activities were occurring underneath the site Based on the new conceptual model, the monitoring for natural attenuation was considered in the subsequent evaluation of options
