We are cmmitted t prtecting the health and safety f thse visiting and wrking in the building, while helping t maintain an efficient, healthy envirnment. Our prgram is based n inspectin and mnitring, with pest cntrl materials t be used nly when and where they are needed. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Philsphy Nn-Chemical Preventin and Cntrl Nn-chemical preventin and cntrl measures are always cnsidered first, and are used whenever practical. Pest cntrl chemicals are applied nly as a supplement t respnsible nn-chemical measures never as a substitute fr them. When the applicatin f a pest cntrl material is required, least-txic materials are cnsidered first. Nn-chemical materials and methds in use as part f ur Integrated Pest Management prgram include: Rutine inspectins (perfrmed n a mnthly basis) Psitive identificatin f pests befre cnsidering cntrl strategies Mnitring via the use f sticky traps (zne mnitrs) as an early-warning system against pest invasin Making recmmendatins t site Engineering and Maintenance persnnel pertaining t needed sanitatin and maintenance imprvements t prevent pest entry r remve pests survival needs (fd, water r shelter) The use f traps (mechanical cntrl), such as rdent traps and insect light traps, t mnitr fr pest presence and t aid in cntrlling pests The use f physical cntrls, such as light management, air-quality management (e.g., use f fans r dehumidifiers t dry ut a damp area) and temperature cntrl Nn-txic mnitring blcks fr rdents, including Detex Blx (a nn-txic rdent mnitring blck) Least-Txic Materials Least-txic materials and practices include materials named n the 2009 San Francisc Reduced-Risk Pesticide List under Use Categry: Allwed Hazard Tier III (lwest hazard); and/r materials that are named as Allwed under the rules f the Natinal Organic Prgram, Natinal List: (List, next page)

All f Plunkett s field emplyees are licensed in Structural Pest Cntrl and certified in the types f applicatins they make. Shuld it ever be necessary t use a pest cntrl material nt cnsidered least risk, we will cmmunicate with building management in the selectin f that prduct, and will prvide universal ntificatin accrding t the plicy stated belw. All chemicals will be chsen and applied accrding t EPA-apprved label directins and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rdenticide Act; and accrding t ur plicies as stated in this dcument. We will adhere t all label directins pertaining t envirnmental/human health precautins, persnal prtective clthing and equipment, strage and dispsal, applicatin restrictins, and use patterns. When any pest cntrl material is applied inside, we will pst the area with a treatment ntice s that individuals wrking in the area are apprised f the applicatin. This is in additin t the 72-hur universal ntificatin that must be given prir t use f a nn-least risk material; this is als in additin t the 24-hur emergency ntificatin perid fllwing emergency use f a nn-least risk material. It is ur duty t infrm management if imprvements need t be made in sanitatin, maintenance r persnnel practices. Then, we rely n ur client t supprt ur effrts by taking actin accrdingly. Shuld it becme necessary t apply a pest cntrl material ther than the least-risk materials described abve, we will prvide management and building ccupants with 72 hurs advance ntice, r 24 hurs r less fllwing applicatin in an emergency. An emergency is defined as a situatin in which a pest situatin immediately threatens the life r safety f persns ccupying r visiting the building fr example, a yellw-jacket nest in r near an ccupied building area. A cpy f the universal ntificatin letter t be used is attached. Perfrmance Measurement and Quality Assurance The technician respnsible fr implementing this prgram will receive a cpy f this prgram and the accmpanying ntificatin letter, and will be instructed t fllw it. Cpies f this prgram will als be prvided t the technician s supervisr and reginal manager, s that they can integrate apprpriate quality assurance measures fr LEED cmpliance at (xxx) int Plunkett s established quality-assurance system. Our perfrmance measurement and quality assurance prcess cnsists f infrmal supervisry ride-alng assessments; and frmal Technician Quality Inspectins, which in the case f 50 S. 10 th St. will include cmparing technician perfrmance with the standards utlined in the LEED-cmpliant Integrated Pest Management prgram. Acceptable perfrmance shall be determined by a review f service recrds shwing that pesticides nt listed as least-txic were nt used; r shwing that prper ntificatin was given when a pesticide nt listed as least-txic was used, accrding t the plicy utlined abve.
