Khorsni 4 Reeived: epted: strt Iron is n essentil mironutrient for plnt growth. The existene of lime, low ontent of orgni mtter nd exess pplition of phosphte fertilizer in soils re the ftors ffeting its vilility. In this study the effets of lime, phosphorus nd orgni mtter on growth nd iron uptke of mize were evluted. greenhouse experiment ws onduted with two levels of lime (0, 2% lium ronte) two levels of orgni mtter (0, % ttle mnure),three levels of phosphorus (0, 200, 400 kg h - triple super phosphte). The experimentl design used, ws ompletely rndomized,ftoril, with 2 replitions. Results showed tht pplition of ttle mnure signifintly inresed shoot dry weight, iron onentrtion nd iron uptke of mize. The pplition of lime hd no signifint effet on shoot dry weight however it deresed iron onentrtion nd iron uptke of mize. pplition of phosphorus inresed shoot dry weight ut deresed iron onentrtion nd iron uptke of plnt. The study of orgni mtter intertion with one of the other tretments showed tht pplition of orgni mnure n improve the negtive effets of lime nd phosphorus.
