1 TCEQ GENERAL INFORMATION Waste Permits Division M GI Revised July 2014 Commercial Management Facilities for Hazardous and Industrial Solid Wastes This publication lists facilities that have permits or authorizations from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to manage industrial hazardous waste, industrial nonhazardous waste, or both. As you use this list, please note the following conditions: " As the originator of the waste, you will be responsible for determining which facility best suits your purpose. " The conditions of each facility's permit restrict the type of waste that the facility may accept. These restrictions might prohibit a particular facility from accepting your waste. " The TCEQ does not recommend or refer customers to specific businesses. " This list offers no information about whether a specific facility is complying with the conditions of its permit. You can find general information about a facility's compliance history on the TCEQ website, <wv.tceq.texas.gov> (search for "Compliance Histories"). " Addresses given may be mailing addresses, the physical location of the facility, or both. " The telephone numbers and web addresses in this list may be for the facility itself or for a company office elsewhere. The person at a listed number may not be able to answer your questions about disposing of waste at this facility, but they should be able to direct you to the person who can. This list is organized first by TCEQ region. Each of the 16 TCEQ regional offices serves a group of counties in the vicinity of the city where the office is located (for a map, see < Region 1 is in the Panhandle (Amarillo). The numbers increase to the south, ending in the Rio Grande Valley (15 = Harlingen; 16 = Laredo). To find a waste management facility convenient to you: 1. Scan the list for the regional headquarters city nearest you. Note that Regions 2 (Lubbock), 6 (El Paso), 8 (San Angelo), 11 (Austin), and 16 (Laredo) have no commercial facilities accepting hazardous or industrial solid wastes and do not appear in the list. 2. Within each region, facilities are grouped by county. Look for counties that are convenient to you. 3. Facilities in each county are listed in alphabetical order by the name of the operator. 4. If you wish, use the Industrial Solid Waste Registration Number, EPA ID, or permit number and the "Advanced Search" feature of our online Compliance History Database to find out about the general compliance history of the facility. 5. Also consider other nearby TCEQ regions. The facility closest to you might be in a different TCEQ region.
