1 İSPİR DAM AND HEPP (HYDROELECTRİC POWER PLANT) PROJECT Brief Profile of the Project İspir Dam, the second dam of Upper Çoruh Watershed is planned to build on the downstream of Laleli Dam. The Project is 2 km away from Pazaryolu county and Erzurum providence and is located on the northeast of Pazaryolu. Annual mean flow of the project is 950,16 M m 3 and catchment area is 5100 km 2. The Project report of İspir Dam and HEPP by EIE * (1989) proposed a 85 m high clay core rock fill dam, m long power tunel, 195 m gross head and a power house having 54 MW installed capacity producing 327,5 GWh energy per year. This solution had a large reservoir which inundated 22,5 km long intercity road and caused some resettlement in the area summing up to 60 M US$. İspir Dam and HEPP Project, the technical and economical feasibility, was performed by DOLSAR Engineering Ltd. by evaluation of all possible alternatives. Consequently, an optimum solution was determined as the project formulation. The new formulation of İspir Dam and HEPP project has two sections, Çatakbahçe Dam and HEPP, Bademli Weir and HEPP. Installations of first section are 42 m high gravel fill dam (Çatakbahçe Dam), m long power tunnel and power house. Installations of second section are 16 m high weir (Bademli Weir), 5465 m long power tunnel and power house. A 2-stage solution comprising a smaller concrete faced gravel fill dam without clay core and 16 m high concrete weir were proposed in order to prevent road relocation and resettlement problems. The new project formulation which was confirmed by DS**I has a total installed capacity of 86 MW producing 350 GWh/yr of energy. Sacrificing some energy production provided the prevention of resettlement of people living in the region as well as inundation of irrigation areas summing up to 850 ha in the area. *EIE : Electrical Power Resources Survey and Development Administration **DSI : State Hydraulic Works

5 T&T GROUP ENERGY TT Group Companies is established at 2008 with the union of Transtek Elektrik and Tuna İnşaat in order to invest in energy industry. Transtek Elektrik is the first transformer company with local capital, founded in Kurtköy, Pendik at 1974 in order to produce power and distribution transformers. Transtek has over distribution and power transformers operating on Turkish Electricity Distribution Network. Tuna İnşaat founded in 1980 at Şişli, İstanbul and constructed hundreds of residences. Company, tracing the development of energy industry, started its activities in energy industry after merging with Transtek Elektrik. T&T Group, already referred as the technical know-how pioneer on power plant constructions, is also aspiring to become a major player in the Turkish Energy Sector. The Group with its 23 companies, is currently managing and investing in various energy sources with the capacity to produce GWh of energy including 30 MW of wind and more than 600 MW of hydroelectric power, located in several parts of Turkey. The Group owns a very famous fuel-oil retail brand TÜRKPETROL, which is about to start opening new fuel stations all around Turkey. Activity Fields: T&T Group is actively managing operations in all three major sources of energy supply: I. Electricity ( Electricity Production and Trade ) II. Oil Natural Gas ( Exploration and production ) III. Fuel and LPG ( TÜRKPETROL retail ) CMB Enerji Yatırımları San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. is subsidiary of TT Group Energy.
