33 Rural Energy Conference Propane Report Some good coverage overall for propane At least propane is included in some ways now Chena Bernie boomed about using propane 3 times Some good interest from the attendees Three biggest concerns: 1. State spending $millions on everything imaginable that doesn t work, except anything for propane 2. AEA AK Energy Plan dismisses propane 3. AEA s Director Steve Haagenson says to conference: Propane is not affordable

34 RURAL IMPORTANCE OF PROPANE 1. Use the most efficient energy source for the application 2. If you have NG, use it 3. In rural areas or for portable/mobile use, then use propane Direct propane energy use is more efficient than other energy sources 4. Lower criteria (health based) & CO2 emissions Especially for water & space heating, use propane Consider propane for vehicles, small tractors, pumping and power generation
