1 Prtein Recvery System (PRS ) Intrductin A new generatin REDA Separatrs are cming int the market when milk is prcessed. The milk lss due t the discharge actin can be reduced clsed t zer with an imprtant design mdificatin jinted t a new sftware functin. The REDA upgraded its separatr wrking n existing advantaged recgnized design intrducing the fllwing mdificatin : Optimized sludge chamber (OSC ): The sludge chamber must be big enugh t cntain sludges separated frm skimmilk utlet (discs utlet diameter) ; in this manner sludges can be ejected with a lwer frequency Since each discharge means a skimmilk (prtein) lss, bigger is the chamber less are the discharges number and therefre the skimmilk (prtein) lss The sludge chamber must be nt t big because when separatr discharges it ejects the entire cntent f the chamber and nt nly the sludges (it means that the mst f the skimmilk(prtein) crssing thrugh the chamber is lst) : smaller is the chamber less is the prduct lst each discharge (prtein lss). Strnger and faster discharge (FDS ) When the sludge is high cncentraded int the sludge chamber, the ejectin (discharge) is mre critical : it is necessary washing chamber by sme liquid cntained int the chamber itself. It means t lse skimmilk (prtein) : it is as much as higher when the ejectin is nt perfect. The best ejectin needs t be fast and strng : nly in this way the quantity f skimmilk (prtein) lst tgether t the sludge can be reduced. REDA new generatin separatr intrduces a strnger and faster discharge because the bwl pens mre in a shrter time : the big effrt generated ver the mechanical drive can nw easily supprted by REDA Sft shaft system and by Freq-clutch system. 3 Payback time REDA is intrducing int the market the new generatin separatr with OSD and FDS and in the next future all the centrifuges will be equipped with the abve systems. Fr abve reasn the nly extra cst fr prtein recvery system will be the PRS system that can be payback in a very shrt time (much less than ne year). Mrever the ttal discharge quantity f effluents and water cnsumptin decrease prprtinally allwing an extra gain. Cmpetitrs similar systems On the market there are ther systems t reduce the prtein lss. But the cst t intrduce the system is very high (mre r less ten times f PRS ) with the same r wrse result. But recently whey price raised a lt caused an earthquake in the wrld market. It has changed cmpletely the perspective because nw whey recvery is becming imprtant : the PRS can be set n whey skimming separatr with a shrt pay-back investment. 5 PRS installatin The PRS unit is pre-assembled n a skid : an extremely easy installatin gives als t the Operatr the capacity t cntrl and adjust the system fr the best prduct recvery. The system can be set n existing unit, but fr the best perfrming a separatr mdificatin shuld be set.
