3 Poppet and Thief samplers: The original poppet sampler was installed over thirty years ago, and they have been used in minerals processing ever since. Design has been recently updated to improve safety. It is a compact, economical sampler for extracting a fixed volume slurry sample from the process line. To make sample handling easy it delivers the sample at atmospheric pressure. The thief sampler is a poppet sampler that can be retracted from a process line without having to shut down that line. This allows for maintenance of the sampler outside of shutdown periods. These are our most common slurry samplers. Typically these samplers are used for control purposes and calibration of densitometers. X-Cut The x-cut sampler is a sampler designed to take a sample across the entire stream. They are designed for installation in vertical pipe lines with the flow flowing upwards.

4 Coarse The coarse sampler has been specifically designed to sample coarse slurries, typically cyclone feed lines. This sampler can sample particles up to 15 mm in diameter. This sampler features a tungsten carbide piston plate and a polyurethane sampling chamber for increased wear resistance. The samplers are used for calibration of densitometers and control purposes. In the retracted position the sampler is fully removed from the process stream to extend life expectancy. Custom Solutions We offer many custom installation options.

5 Dry Powder sampler The dry powder sampler has been designed for the dry bulk solids handling industry. They are installed in vertical pipelines with the flow flowing downwards onto the sampler. The sampler is designed to match the bore of the pipeline. Typically these are used in the cement industry. Testing Each of our Samplers is tested before release to guarantee the highest quality. All samplers are issued with a test and calibration certificate. edart carries all sampler spares in stock.

6 Application Spec Sheet In order to correctly specify the sampler and the ancillaries kindly supply as much detail as possible about the application. Additional information that would assist includes, PFD (Process Flow Diagram), sketch / drawing / photo of the intended location for installation. Application details.
