Job Description Astbury is seeking a technician to provide environment field services including, but not limited to, routine wastewater treatment system field testing, sample collection, maintenance, cleaning/ upkeep, and some operations. Other responsibilities will likely include industrial wastewater sampling (with composite sampling equipment) and assistance with flow meter calibration and installation projects which sometimes involve confined space entry. Any maintenance experience will be helpful for this position, as is the ability to operate ph, Dissolved Oxygen, and Chlorine meters to test water in the field. Experience in the operation and/or maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and systems would be beneficial but is not necessary. All required training will be provided by Astbury. It is noteworthy that this position has significant advancement potential. This could be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to get into the water utility/ environmental industry and obtain state licenses and associated skills. Requirements A High School Diploma A valid Drivers License Must be willing to complete a drug screening before hiring Willingness to work outside Ability to work independently Able to follow instructions and communicate effectively Some weekend work will be required Special preference is given to candidates that possess a state Wastewater License, Technical and Mechanical Capabilities, College or Associates Degrees, and Electrical Skills or Certifications. 3 Compensation Compensation will be based primarily upon experience. Additional compensation will be considered for wastewater licensure, electrical or mechanical certifications or capabilities, and educational attainment.
