4 COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT THE EMPLOYEES OF ETIC ENGINEERING ARE COMMITTED TO THEIR ROLE IN PROTECTING AND ENHANCING OUR ENVIRONMENT. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IS ALWAYS A PRIMARY OBJECTIVE, AND A SECONDARY GOAL IS TO LEAD THE COUNTY S ANDSTATE S BUSINESS COMMUNITY IN ESTABLISHING ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES AND BACKING PROGRAMS TO ACHIEVE THEM. OUR ACTIVITIES WILL BE CONSISTENT WITH SOUND ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICES. IN MANAGING OUR BUSINESS, THE EMPLOYEES OF ETIC ENGINEERING WILL STRIVE TO: PARTICIPATE IN THE FORMULATION OF FEDERAL AND STATE ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION, REGULATIONS, AND POLICY ISSUES THAT MAY SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT OUR BUSINESS. INTEGRATE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION CONSIDERATIONS INTO ETIC ENGINEERING PLANNING AND DECISION MAKING. COMPLY WITH ALL ENVIRONMENTAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. SEEK OPPORTUNITIES TO RECYCLE WASTES BOTH ONSITE AND OFFSITE AND PURCHASE AND USE RECYCLED MATERIALS. SEEK TO RESOLVE ENVIRONMENTAL RELATED PROBLEMS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN CREATED BY PAST OPERATIONS, PRACTICES, OR HANDLING OF MATERIALS. WORK WITH APPROPRIATE ENVIRONMENTAL AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO ENSURE TIMELY, REASONABLE, AND COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS TO ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES BEFORE THEY BECOME MAJOR PROBLEMS. 6 ETIC HAS SUBSTANTIAL EXPERIENCE INCORPORATING GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES INTO THE PROJECTS IT WORKS ON AND IS COMMITTED TO INCORPORATING THESE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES INTO ITS COMPANY ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. FOR COMPANY OPERATIONS AND ACTIVITIES, ETICENGINEERING IS COMMITTED TO INCORPORATING GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES INTO ITS ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. ASPARTOFTHISONGOINGEFFORT, ETIC ENGINEERING HAS IMPLEMENTED THE FOLLOWING: A RECYCLING PROGRAM FOR PAPER AND CARDBOARD. A RECYCLING PROGRAM FOR USED BATTERIES. A PROCESS FOR RECYCLING USED TONER CARTRIDGES. A SOFTWARE PROGRAM FOR MANAGING, MONITORING, AND MEASURING PROJECT AND COMPANY INFORMATION THAT HELPS TO REDUCE THE GENERATION OF PAPER COPIES. A PRINTING SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN AUTOMATICALLY SET TO PRINT DOUBLE SIDED TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PAPER COPIES. AN OVERHEAD PROJECTOR SYSTEM THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE COMPANY SERVER. THIS SYSTEM ENABLES STAFF TO ACCESS DOCUMENTS ELECTRONICALLY, THEREBY ELIMINATING THE NEED FOR PAPER COPIES.

7 ETIC IS COMMITTED TO REDUCING THE ENERGY WE USE AT OUR OFFICE. WE UPGRADED OUR LIGHTING TO A MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT OPTION AND PURCHASE EQUIPMENT WITH AN ENERGY STAR RATING. 10 ENVIRONMENTAL JOB SITE IMPACTS RECYCLED GRAVEL BAGS AND BIODEGRADABLE FIBER ROLLS ETIC ENGINEERING EMPLOYS THE USE OF GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES ON THE JOB SITE. BY USING RECYCLED GRAVEL BAGS AND BIODEGRADABLE FIBER ROLLS WE REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF MATERIALS DISPOSED OF IN LANDFILLS.

11 ETIC FINDS WAYS TO MAKE OUR PROJECTS GREEN BY RECYCLING CONCRETE AND STEEL FROM REMEDIATION PROJECTS.

13 W O R K S A F E SAFETY IS PART OF WHO WE ARE AND HOW WE THINK. H&S NATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY BEHAVIORAL BASED AWARDS FROM CLIENTS SAFETY IS INCORPORATED IN OUR DAILY LIVES; AT HOME AND AT WORK. WE INSTILL GOOD ATTITUDES TOWARDS SAFETY IN OTHERS; OUR FAMILIES; OUR CO WORKERS; OUR FRIENDS. EVERYONE DESERVES A SAFE PLACE TO WORK AND LIVE. L I V E S A F E

14 ETIC HAS AN OUTSTANDING SAFETY RECORD AND HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED NATIONALLY BY OUR CLIENTS DUE TO OUR FLAWLESS EXECUTION OF FIELD SERVICES. ETIC PLACES A HUGE EMPHASIS ON A CONSTANT FOCUS ON BEHAVIOR BASED SAFETY DAILY AND DURING EACH AND EVERY TASK CHANGE ON A PROJECT. WE ENCOURAGE OUR EMPLOYEES TO TRANSFER THIS BEHAVIOR BASED SAFETY FROM WORK TO THEIR HOME. IN ADDITION, ETICPLACES EXTREME EMPHASIS ON ALL ASPECTS OF PERMIT COMPLIANCE AND WE HAVE DEVELOPED A COMPLIANCE VULNERABILITY MATRIX TO TRACK ALL PERMIT REQUIREMENTS. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, ETICHAS NEVER RECEIVED A NOTICE OF VIOLATION OR FINE RELATED TO ENVIRONMENTAL WORK. AS PART OF OUR HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAM, ETIC HAS AN EXTENSIVE TECHNICAL TRAINING AND MENTORING PROGRAM FOR OUR STAFF. A COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING MATRIX HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR ALL LEVELS OF EACH PROJECT DISCIPLINE (I.E., GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND O&M TECHNICIANS, CONSTRUCTION PERSONNEL, GEOLOGISTS, ENGINEERS, PROJECT AND PROGRAM MANAGERS). ETIC USES ISNETWORLD AS A TRAINING DATABASE AND THIS PROVIDES COMPLETE TRANSPARENCY OF OUR TRAINING RECORDS TO OUR CLIENTS. ETIC ALSO MANDATES DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING AND OPERATES UNDER AN INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PLAN. EACH ETIC SUBCONTRACTOR MUST COMPLY WITH OUR SUBCONTRACTOR PRE SCREENING REQUIREMENTS AND IF CLEARED, ALL SUBCONTRACTORS ENGAGE IN A SUBCONTRACTOR MASTER SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ETIC.

16 MORE ABOUT SOME OF THE COMMUNITY PROGRAMS ETIC ENGINEERING IS INVOLVED WITH: U.S. MARINE CORPSRESERVE TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM THE MISSION OF THE U. S. MARINE CORPS RESERVE TOYS FOR TOTS PROGRAM IS TO COLLECT NEW, UNWRAPPED TOYS DURING OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, AND DECEMBER EACH YEAR, AND DISTRIBUTE THOSE TOYS AS CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO LESS FORTUNATE CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY IN WHICH THE CAMPAIGN IS CONDUCTED. ABOUTONE WARM COAT THIS ORGANIZATION STARTED IN 1992 WITH A THANKSGIVING WEEKEND COAT DRIVE AT ONE LOCATION IN SAN FRANCISCO. SINCE THEN, IT HAS WELCOMED THOUSANDS OF GROUPS ACROSS NORTH AMERICA, WHOJOINEDTHEIREFFORTSTOITSWITHTHESAMEGOAL. SKYLINE HIGH SCHOOL GREEN ACADEMY THE MISSION OF THEGREEN ACADEMY IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED IN GREEN ENERGY CAREERS AND POST SECONDARY EDUCATION IN THE AREA OF ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY.THEGREEN ACADEMY PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH A COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE CONSISTING OF ENGAGING AND RIGOROUS ACADEMICS AND HANDS ON LEARNING. CONTRA COSTA FOOD BANK MISSION: THE MISSION OF THE FOOD BANK OF CONTRA COSTA AND SOLANO IS TO ALLEVIATE HUNGER AND PROVIDE AN EFFICIENT, COORDINATED SYSTEM FOR COLLECTING AND DISTRIBUTING FOOD THAT REDUCES FOOD WASTE AND INCREASES PUBLIC AWARENESS REGARDING HUNGER AND FOOD SECURITY ISSUES IN CONTRA COSTA AND SOLANO COUNTIES.

WE INVITED CURRENT AND POTENTIAL DIVERSE SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS TO MEET WITH OUR MANAGEMENT TEAMS TO HELP INCREASE OUR AWARENESS OF THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES.
