25 SOLUTIONS GREEN CITY To create eco-friendly, livable, healthy, and pleasant atmosphere in the town, and also to Protect Environment certain Reforms have been taken up in various activities like SWM, proper drainage system, LWM, massive tree plantation, plastic waste management, RWHS, SWM are implemented effectively. 26 GREEN CITY SOLUTIONS Usage of GIS technology for geo tagging of trees Massive drives are conducted involving all sectors of the Society with a slogan of EACH ONE-PLANT TEN. A mandatory Provision is enforced that all the Commercial & Institutional Establishments should be involved for Plantation and survival. Beautification of Penna River Bund with Rs.5.50 crores is being taken up in AMRUT Scheme After due implementation of the above initiatives present atmosphere is changed and livable eco-friendly healthy situations are prevailing in the town. Now GREEN TADIPATRI is established.

33 BLUE CITY-WATER MANAGEMENT KEY ISSUES Main Source of W.S : Subsurface Water in Penna River CAUSE FOR RISING WATER PROBLEM: construction of Dams at up streams level of the Penna river frequent failure of regular monsoons depletion of ground water levels Rapid urbanization due to surrounding industries leakages in water supply distribution systems Heavy usage of domestic water for industrial purpose ALTERNATE FOR THE LAST 6 YAERS : Ground water Gandikota reservoir

34 BLUE CITY-WATER MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS IMPLEMENTED Water is being supplied through infiltration wells in penna river of subsurface water Ward level Power bores are provided with 1000 Lts capacity syntex tanks for supply of domestic water Purified drinking water is supplied through NTR sujala pathakam at Rs.2/- per 20 lts. Regular arresting of leakages, Replacing of Old Motors and pipelines from time to time. Replacement of Old Distribution pipelines to the tail end areas and unlevel areas for 100% progress of supply Regular Residual Chlorine tests are conducted in each ward Regular cleaning of ELSRs with accountable manner No water supply through tankers system

35 BLUE CITY-WATER MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS : Mandatory provision is enforced for RWHS in respect of all new constructions To conserve the Waste Water, RWHS are constructed by the ULB in Mpl. Vacant sites and Govt. Institutions Temporary check dams are provided in penna river for storage of seasonal water recycled Water from STPs is being utilized for improving the Greenery. As per PCB norms, the sullage water is being treated, recycled & re used for improving the ground water levels in eco friendly manner. Supply of recycled water from the STPs to the surrounding Industries for Industrial purpose by adopting Liquid Waste Management Rules. A Comprehensive Water Supply Scheme is sanctioned to Tadipatri Town under AMRUT Scheme with project cost of Rs crores for permanent solution in supply of water up to 2040.

39 INNOVATIONS CASE OF REUSE, RECYCLE OF SECONDARY TREATED WATER FOR GERDAU STEEL INDUSTRY Request from GERDAU Steels India Pvt. Ltd for supply of 3.5 MLD 3.5 MLD /day has to be supplied Tadipatri Municipal Council has passed a resolution vide C.R No 236 dt to supply treated waste water to the GERDAU Steels India Pvt. Ltd. For industrial purpose. MOU entered with the Authorities for a period of 3 years Usage of Treated waste Water for improving of Greenery in the Town, central medians & Organic Cultivation of Vegetables, leaves etc., at compost yard.
