1 DR. YUSOF SHUAIB BIN IBRAHIM Senior Lecturer School of Marine & Environmental Sciences Universiti Malaysia Terengganu / QUALIFICATIONS Doctor of Philosophy (Systematics of the Marine Polychaetes), Kagoshima University, Japan Master of Science (Taxonomy and Ecology of Marine Polychaetes), Kagoshima University, Japan Exchange Research Student (Taxonomy and Ecology of Marine Invertebrates), Kagoshima University, Japan Bachelor of Science (Marine Biology), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) Diploma in Fisheries, Kolej Universiti Sains dan Teknologi Malaysia (KUSTEM) FIELD OF RESEARCH Taxonomy, Reproductive Biology and Ecology of Marine Polychaetes Microplastics Pollution on Marine Organisms and Marine Environment RESEARCH INTEREST My research is focusing on the taxonomy, reproductive biology and ecology of polychaete species in Asia. My current interest is examining microplastics (marine debris) ingestion by marine organisms, especially on polychaete species and also investigating their path and fate to the marine food web. RESEARCH PROJECTS Biological and Ecological Aspects of Selected Marine Baitworms (Polychaeta; Nereididae) from Setiu Wetlands, Terengganu, Malaysia, On-going, Supervisor
