PRE FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR Silica Sand Beneficiation Plant BY Shree Silicaam Minerals LLP VILLAGE : CHOKI TALUKA : JAGADIA DIST : BHARUCH GUJARAT (INDIA)

PRE-FEASIBILITY REPORT: SILICA SAND BENIFICIATION PROJECT CONTENTS DETAILS 1. Executive Summary Silica sand is primarily used for Foundry Industry (Auto Industry suppliers. There are large Foundry industries in Ahmedabad supporting auto industry) & in construction activities for concreting & plaster. Since the area & its surrounding is becoming big auto industry hub, there is a great potential for this unit. Also this is increasingly becoming more acceptable in construction industry as replacement to natural river sand. As personal survey conducted by the partner as well as their personal experience reveals that there is wide gap between demand and supply of the product in the market and they will be in an advantageous position being local habitant and good standing in the market. The partner envisages setup of a Sand washing Plant on small scale at Choki, Distt: Bharuch, in the name and style of M/s Shree Silicaam Minerals LLP with the followings : Usage of latest world class technology for washing silica sand by opting for Automatic plant from leading supplier of world Incorporation of water recovery plant in the system resulting in saving of more than 95% water Environmentally friendly material since it is being used as replacement of natural sand in construction industry Generating extra revenue to government as government is having huge stock pile of Silica sand Employment to local persons. In nutshell, basic raw material 0-5 mm is outsourced from GMDC mines or authorized private lease holder. The process involves doingthree steps a. Grading of silica sand in required size by sieving process b. Removing clay and impurities from silica sand by washing process c. Drying. Automatic washing plant will yield two finished products viz 75Microns-600 microns & (+) 600 Microns to 5 mm. This complete process is wet process. Also we are going to have water recovery plant in the automatic plant which will result in more than 95% of water recirculation leading to enormous saving of raw water. We are also planning a sludge tank to further remove water from sludge and use this water also in the main process. Whatever sludge would be generated that would be nothing but solid form of clay and we would try to make bricks. Otherwise that material would be used for land filling purpose at pre designated places. In above said process those are only physical process. 2. Introduction of the project Background information i. Identificationofprojectandprojectproponent.IncaseofBeneficiationproject,a copy of Beneficiation Plant / letter of intent should begiven.

Name of Project Location of Project Project Proponent Ownership Silica Sand ii. Brief description of nature of the project. Silica Sand BeneficiationProject Sur. No. 100/A/P/2 Village: CHOKI Tal: JAGADIA, Dist: BHARUCH Shree Silicaam Minerals LLP Private land (Non Agricultural) 20,000 MT/Year This is a Silica Sand Mineral Beneficiation Project iii. The basic objective of the project is to effective utilization of Mineral in the state and/or region and generating extra revenue to government as government is having huge stock pile of Silica sand. The development and industrialization has enhanced the demand of material mainly in infrastructure and energy projects The main uses of Silica Sand are for foundry industry as well as it is being used as replacement of natural sand in construction industry which can help to balance our eco system by avoiding the river mining. Silica Sand Beneficiation not only provides the industrial material but also employment economic growth of the state that will ultimately enhance the socio-economic status of the people of theregion/area. iv. Demand-SupplyGap There is demand of Silica Sand for various activities in the region. Demand of the Silica Sand will be full filled by this project to various end-users in the open market. v. Imports. Indigenous production This is indigenous production. vi. ExportPossibility Possible as construction sand in Gulf countries vii. viii. Domestic/export Markets Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect)due to the project In the domestic market Silica Sand will be sold to industrial clients and contractors etc. 10 people shall be employed during the operation of Beneficiation. 3. Project Description i. Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects, ifany. This is independent project. ii. Location (map showing general location, specific location, and project boundary & project site layout) withcoordinates.

Name of Project Silica Sand Beneficiation Location of Project Sur. No. 100/A/P/2, Village : CHOKI Tal: JAGADIA, Dist: BHARUCH iii. Details of alternatives considered and the basis of selecting the proposed site particularly the environmental considerations gone into should be highlighted This is site specific project. Beneficiations activities shall be are carried out based on availability of the mineral. iv. Size or magnitude of theoperation. 20,000 MT/Year v. Project description with process details (a schematic diagram, flow chart showing the project layout, components of the project etc. Should be given) vi. Raw material required along with estimated quantity, likely source, marketing area of final products, Mode of transport of raw Material and finished Product. vii. Resource optimization / recycling and reuse envisaged in the project, if any, should be brief lay outlined. It is a Silica Sand Beneficiation project. Raw sand purchased from the authorized mines holder or GMDC& loaded to the plant site. Later on through hopper raw sand passes through conveyor & then washed (Simple Water) in multiple stages and forward for separator for separating different sizes. It is stock in different stock pile & ready to dispatch for the foundrygrade and construction grade. Silica Sand is the raw material required for process. Approx. 20,0000 MT is required annually. Incorporation of water recovery plant in the system resulting in recycling of approx. 95% water

viii. Availability of water its source, Silica Sand Beneficiation process will be carried out Energy/power requirement and throughworld class latest technology which integrates water source should be given. recycling technology, reducing water requirement by up to 95 %. for washing silica sand by opting for Automatic For Process water requirement as make water, drinking Water and sprinkler shall be 10 KL/Day. Source of water is Bore well inside premises. Power : 90 KW for Gujarat Electricity Board ix. Quantity of wastes to be generated (liquid and solid) and scheme for their Management/disposal. Fuel for Dryer : Furnace Oil : 150 Liter/hr. (1200 Liter/Day) No waste generated except domestic waste. x. Schematic representations of the feasibility drawing which given in formation of EIA purpose. 4. Site Analysis i. Connectivity. Railway Station : 19 KM & Airport: Vadodara (72 km)

ii. Land Form, Land use and Landownership. This is private nonagricultural land. Moreover there will be no permanent change in land use, iii. Topography(along with map). No change in Topography of land. iv. Existing land use pattern (agriculture, non-agriculture, forest, water bodies (including area under CRZ), shortest distances from the periphery of the project to periphery of sanctuary, eco from the HFL industrial area, be given. The proposed project is Silica Sand Beneficiation which located in Choki near by Rajpardi. National Park, Forest, Wild Life Sanctuary, Eco Sensitive Area is not presented with in10km radius of the project. v. Existing Infrastructure. There is not existing infrastructure in the area. vi. Soilclassification The soil found in the study area can be classified alluvial soil. The topsoil providing thin cover is of light brown colour. vii. viii. Climatic data from secondarysources. Social Infrastructure available. The weather of Bharuch district is hot and dry starting from mid march till mid June.During summer season weather remains hot and dry. While from mid June till end of September weather remains humid and can be considered pleasant. From October November weather is bit hot. From December to February climate remains cool. The average rainfall of the district is 964 mm All the social infrastructural facilities like temple, schools, hospital etc. are available within 5 km of project site. 5. Planning Brief i. Planning Concept (type of industries, transportation etc.) Town and Planning/ Development authority Classification. Beneficiation of Silica Sand shall be carried out.
