4 How it works. The first step of the BactiBarrier cleaning system is to disinfect or clean, removing unwanted matter. Microbes are therefore attracted to the treated surface through a difference in charge. The molecule s long chain physically punctures the microbe, and the difference in charge also electrocutes it, ensuring a kill.
