1 Will Sit to Stand desks be embraced by all? Will one plant remove and filter contaminants to improve indoor air quality in your office space? Like to see some of our new products? Catch up on our recent news Hello and thanks for landing on this page Cheryl Something interesting I noticed when scouring the government tenders, many of the current tenders released are labeled Boosting our Economy. Reflecting on this Shown is MOTION from our manufacturer BEVISCO. Vystan Interiors is the NT Distributor for BEVISCO, brand exclusive for Darwin and the NT. There is no doubt sectors of the local industry are hurting and this has been noticeable for the past couple of years. I think hard times can sometimes provide small business houses like ours the opportunity to reflect, review and to streamline further the systems and operations. One of the benefit for the client is the opportunity to receive more value for the dollar spent. Our new MOTION Sit to Stand Desks is a furniture line offering more value and keeping up with the shift and focus on ergonomic furniture requirements. Our new MOTION is only available in Sit to Stand with User Adjust or Electric operation. Pricing is now competitive and this will allow a shift towards selecting Sit to Stand Desks and Workstations. Our MOTION Sit Stand Desks and Workstations have featured this year in two of our recent project installations. With prices continuing to fall, we believe Sit Stand Desks and Workstations will be considered for most future purchases. Our two recent projects completed this year NAB Level 3 and JACANA Level 2 featured both electric and user height adjustable MOTION Sit to Stand Desks and Workstations. Please contact our office if you would like one of our team to provide you with further information, or download our >MOTION Brochure NAB Level 3 JACANA Level 2 1 1

2 Will one plant remove and filter contaminants to improve indoor air quality in your office space? For our office we use healthy indoor plants to create an aesthetic calm, with the added benefit of the whole plant system acting as natures air filter. Just one small plant can improve air quality and is the greenest way of improving indoor air quality In Australia s urban concentrated areas, we spend more than 80% of our time indoors. With controlled air and pollutants from VOCs emitted from furniture and fixtures (carpets, plastic, furniture/fixtures and finishes such as paints along with technology -computers and TVs), the use of indoor plants can counter the uptake of the different VOCs. Research from around the world and studies by the University of Technology - Sydney, indicate that plants can improve indoor air quality. Photo of our Himalayan Rock Salt Lamp and plants in tambour planter boxes Along with our indoor plants, we have added a few *Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps in our office. The lamps look good with the added bonus of adding another layer of well being within our office. The salt lamp naturally improves the indoor air quality by creating healthy negative ions. Natural lighting, good acoustics, quality LED Lighting, plants and our featured Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps all contribute to improve the indoor air quality in our office. *Himalayan Rock Salt Lamps works towards improved indoor air quality by drawing water molecules from the air to the surface of the salt lamp. The lamp is warmed by a globe causing a gentle chemical reaction to takes place, and healthy negative ions are then released into the air, counteracting the positive ions from electrical equipment around the office. The air is purified to reduce airborne bacteria, mould, viruses and allergens, as well as respiratory irritants, which cannot survive in the negatively charged environment. Gadgets like televisions and computers emit electromagnetic radiation, which ionizes the air. The jury is out on whether the lamps are powerful enough to actually deliver these benefits but I am one of those that believe the lamps really do work! 2 2

5 Our news Russ - Peru What we love to do (Sept 2015) So far it has been a good year for us. We have completed our two big projects NAB Level 3 and Jacana House Level 2 in the month of January and now followed by Energy House Level 2 (approximately 110 desks, office seating and modular screens). On the flip side we are looking forward to the DRY season so we can spend some time outdoors. Ron and Loren are looking forward to planting a new rotation of vegetables, herbs and annual flowering plants. Last year we did well with a few tomato varieties, eggplant, capsicum and green leaf vegetables (and not so well were root vegetables such as sweet potatoes, pumpkin and beetroot). It is really nice to have freshly picked garden herbs and veg, and fresh collected eggs And our last bit of news We have just spent a few months creating our own version of a GOOGLE office and breakout space. Ron, Russ and Loren have done a lot of the hard work, welding structures along with building some of the furniture. Loren and I have had fun selecting finishes and adding the fun stuff like a pool table, a dartboard and a bar. This will be a great new space for work and play Cheers Enquiries: Vystan Interiors T E sales@vystan.com 5 5
