1 LAB DETAILS The Civil Engineering department has Eight Laboratories with advanced equipments. It also has two additional workshops/labs. All the experiments performed in the laboratories emphasize on the actual applications of the experiment in the construction industry. 1. STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING LAB : This laboratory focuses on Strength of engineering materials with aim of learning their stress strain relations and behavioral changes on load application. Ashutosh Gajanan Dabli CTM, UTM, Torsion Testing m/c, Hardness Testing m/c, Impact Testing m/c, Extensometer. 2.TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING AND CONCRETE TECH LAB : This laboratory focuses on properties of engineering material with aim of learning their strength, water absorption, specific gravity, saturated surface dry density, workability, impermeability, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, size, shape, color, texture, ductility, melting point and non destructive testings. 1

SURVEYING LAB : This laboratory focuses on surveying of land including mountainous areas, for demarcation of boundaries and for setting out of infrastructure projects by using traditional theodolites and dumpy levels and also by multitask accurate equipments like total station, Auto level and laser level.. 3 4. GEOLOGY LAB This laboratory focuses on the study of the mineralogical and petrological properties of mineral and rock samples.. M Rafi Khan Clinicompass, Mineral Specimens, Tunnel Faults and Strikes. 5. GEOTECH ENGG LAB This laboratory focuses on the study of engineering properties of soil samples. 4 6. ENGINEERING MECHANICS-1 This laboratory focuses on the study of static and dynamic force systems. Shabbir G. ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING LAB This laboratory focuses on the study of the properties of water, waste water and air pollution. 5 8. FLUID MECHANICS AND HYDRAULICS LAB This laboratory focuses on the mechanics of fluids, open channels flow and study of various hydraulics of machine.. Asif.M Ansari Francis Turbine, Hydraulic Bench 1 & 2, Tilting Flume, Pelton Wheel Turbine, Hydraulic Test Rig, Reynold App, Stoke Equip Set, Viscosity App, App Of Minor Loss. 9.
