1 Product Data Sheet Product Data X-STREAM Flameproof Gas Analyzers Rosemount Analytical s X-STREAM flameproof process gas analyzers are now available in the standard model (right) and the enhanced model (left). Features X-STREAM (Standard Model) Analyzes up to four components New, patented IntrinzX TM photometric technology with intrinsic linearity provides high sensitivity, large dynamic ranges and long-term span stability with extended calibration intervals Wall mountable NEMA 4X/IP66 painted cast aluminum housing ATEX, CSA-C/US and IECEx approved for Class I, Zone 1, Group IIB+H 2 hazardous areas User-friendly operator interface Easy to install, low maintenance and field repairable Supports NDIR, UV, VIS, paramagnetic and electrochemical O 2, and thermal conductivity Solvent-resistant, corrosion-resistant, intrinsically safe and infallible containment solutions are available Extended ambient temperature range: -20 to +50 C (-4 to +122 F) Tropicalization for high ambient humidity Analog and relay outputs, digital inputs, Ethernet and serial interface with Modbus communication Autocalibration via internal or external valves Optional barometric pressure compensation, internal sampling pump and flow sensor X-STREAM XE (Enhanced Model) Analog inputs Web browser access Data, calibration, and event logger Support for alarm & event messaging, and USB storage devices Calculator for virtual measurements PLC for control of sample handling and sample lines DESCRIPTION The X-STREAM series of gas analyzers features multi-channel analysis utilizing infrared, ultraviolet and visible (NDIR/UV/VIS) photometry, paramagnetic and electrochemical oxygen, and thermal conductivity sensor technologies. X-STREAM analyzers can measure up to four components and the measuring principles may be ordered in various combinations. The physical benches can be installed in their own compartment separated from the electronics. A purge is added for handling corrosive and toxic gases to protect the electronics and to provide operator safety. Optional thermostatic control enables measuring lower sample gas concentrations and measurements at higher dew points. Visit our website at Online ordering available.

2 Product Data Product Data Sheet ATEX, CSA-C/US and IECEx type approvals allow global installation of X-STREAM flameproof analyzers in Zone 1 hazardous areas without the need for pressurization systems. X-STREAM analyzers, equipped with an internal wide range power supply for all world areas, offer analog outputs, four status signal relay outputs (according to NAMUR NE 107) and Modbus communication over an Ethernet or serial interface. The instrument has an alphanumeric display protected by impacttested safety glass and is operated manually by six keys without the need to open the enclosure. Clear text messages (available in several languages) and front-panel LED provide information about the measurement and analyzer status. X-STREAM XE (Enhanced Model) An enhanced version of the X-STREAM process gas analyzer is available. The X-STREAM XE combines new, browser-based accessibility with advanced processing capabilities. Enhanced versions provide a graphic display and industry-standard symbols, web-browser capability to enable remote control, calibration, and configuration via LAN and WAN. The X-STREAM XE s unique web-browser interface allows users securely login to view live and historic data, calibrate parameters, and manage alarms from any Ethernet connection. The ability to remotely manage the analyzer greatly simplifies diagnostics, speeds the troubleshooting process, and reduces the number of trips into the field. With powerful processing capabilities and innovative built-in engineering tools, the X-STREAM XE offers a programmable logic controller (PLC) that enables automation of the sample handling system and online programming through the web browser. In addition, an enhanced onboard data acquisition system provides data, event, and calibration logging. Data is remotely accessible and downloadable to USB devices. The PLC with internal or external valves control omits the need for external control of sample handling systems or sample point switches. Analog inputs and calculator enable to also consider external measurement data, e.g. for cross compensation. X-STREAM XE Web Browser IntrinzX Photometric Technology Every X-STREAM process gas analyzer incorporates IntrinzX, patented photometric technology with intrinsically linear behavior. Large dynamic measuring ranges Very low temperature dependency Long-term span stability Simplified calibration It offers outstanding linearity, with a wide dynamic range that enables a single bench to accomodate numerous measurements, such as: Low and high CO for CEMS Measurements for research involving varying sample concentrations High and low ranges before and after scrubbers Measurement of carbon bed breakthrough / catalyst efficiency with room to measure higher concentrations in case of process failure X-STREAM Applications Refining, petrochemical, and chemical process analysis and control Hydrogen, ammonia, fertilizer production, metallurgical manufacturing, and hardening and heat treatment processes Quality control of natural gas production and distribution Safety measurement for flammable mixtures Hydrogen cooling of gas turbines Page 2
