The plant will use state of the art technology and be built to the highest standards. There will be a trade effluent discharge to the River Fyne which will be treated prior to discharge. Reason for advertising Environmental standards breached Third party interests affected Consultation required Yes The neighbouring estate has fishing rights on the river in the vicinity of the discharge. They had heard about the proposed development and wondered whether it would have any impact on the fisheries. Following a phone call from the estate owner it was decided to advertise the application to allow them to formally comment. No representations were received as a result of public advertisement. No discharge will be treated to a standard which will not result in a breach of environmental standards Fishing rights on River Fyne owned by neighbouring estate YES Details of public body Reason for consultation Argyll Fisheries Board Impacts of discharge on migratory fish. BG asked for flow recording information to be included in the draft licence. Otherwise draft licence OK.
