Global Issues on Indoor Pollution

Air Pollution WHO reports that in 2012 around 7 million people died - one in eight of total global deaths as a result of air pollution exposure.

Air Quality & Pollution Measurements

Biological Hazards Biological hazards are organisms or products of organisms that present a health hazards to human. Types of Biological hazard that commonly found in hospitals: Bacteria - microscopic organisms that lives in soil, water, organic matter or dead bodies of plants and animals are characterized by lack of distinct nucleus and the inability to photosynthesis. Examples are E.Coli, Tetanus and TB. Viruses - are group of pathogens that consist mostly of nucleic acids and that lack cellular structure. Viruses are totally dependant on their hosts for replication. Examples are common clod, influenza, measles, SARS, Hantavirus and rabies. Fungi any major groups of lower plants that lack chlorophyll and live on dead or living organisms. Examples are athlete's foot, mould, rust, mildew, smut, yeast and mushrooms.

Product Introduction

Characteristics of SmartCoat Nano-sized Titanium Dioxide (2-3 nm) Transparent- easy to apply to any surface due to Dispersion Technology Visible Light Response and Reaction SELF Binding Capabilities without any binder Spraying and Fixing Directly, Dry and Firm Instantly Fatest Germ Killing Within Impact Germ Free/Control = Rate of Germ Kill > Multiplication Rate of Germs

Smart Features of SmartCoat Anti Bacteria/Antivirus Anti Fungal VOC removal Self Cleansing Deodorizing

TiO2 animation

Safety on TiO2 in SmartCoat Titanium Dioxide (TiO2), also known as titanium(iv) oxide or titania, is the naturally occurring oxide of titanium, chemical formula TiO2. TiO2 is non-toxic and approved by food testing laboratory of the United States Food & Drug Administration (FDA), CE certified. TiO2 is considered to be a safe substance, and is harmless to human. It has a wide range of applications, from paint to sunscreen to food colouring, and commonly found in daily products i.e. lipsticks, body power, toothpastes, Panadol, etc.

Process of Photocatalyst SMARTCOAT eliminate VOC as well as kills bacteria and fungi by emitting oxygen radicals H 2 O CO 2 CO 2 H 2 O O 2- OH - OH - O 2- O 2- OH SMARTCOAT coated surface

Product Application

Application Method of SmartCoat SmartCoat is negatively charged through the electrostatic sprayer before application. Upon releasing to the air, the negatively charged SmartCoat will be attracted to the positive surfaces, and embedded itself into the pores of the surfaces. When it dries, it crystalized and become one with the surface. SmartCoat will enhance the hardness of the treated surface 9 times harder, thus making it difficult to be removed.

Transfer Efficiency on Different Spraying Technology

Product Monitoring and Validation Methods

Monitoring and Validation Method Swab Test Swab test is provided to determine compliance with the requirements given in the individual monograph / specifications. Swab test is the counting of total number of aerobic bacteria, yeasts and molds on any surface. Normally, swab test is to be carried out by engaging qualified 3 rd party s lab.

Monitoring and Validation Method Air Quality Sampling and Analysis Measurement of air quality general fall into 3 categories: a) Measurement of Emission - when a particular emission source is measured, generally by on the spot test b) Meteorological Measurement - factors that shows how pollutants transferred from source to recipient c) Ambient Air Quality - Measures the quality of all the air in a particular place. Almost all the evidence of health effects is based on these measurements.

Monitoring and Validation Method VOCs Monitoring A VOC is any organic compound having an initial boiling point less than or equal to 250 C measured at a standard atmospheric pressure of kpa. VOCs are sometimes categorized by the ease they will be emitted. The higher the volatility (lower the boiling point), the more likely the compound will be emitted from a product or surface into the air.

Monitoring and Validation Method ATP Test ATP is used to examine hygiene of surfaces usually in the food manufacturing environment, which are derived from food residues, mibrobes, human hands, and so on. When poorly washed, bacteria grow easily on surfaces, thus contaminating the environment.
