5 Stormwater- Install Green Infrastructure Retrofits(public areas ) Remove sediment- USA wet ponds, Langan Park Construct energy dissipater on Twelve Mile Creek Improve trash management; initiate water-based collection program; install GPRS in strategic locations Three Mile Creek Initial Implementation Recommendations Wastewater- Remove illicit discharges to SW system Remove failing septic systems Ecology- Improve management of invasives Restore streambank and riparian buffers Restore wetlands Access- Build greenway (public/private easements) Build blueway-3 accesses, 5 portage enhancements SLR- Restore tidal marsh restoration landward of existing marsh Install backwater control valves

6 Goals of the watershed planning process Improve/Protect water quality to support healthy populations of fish and shellfish Improve/Protect habitats necessary to support healthy populations of fish and shellfish Protect continued customary uses of biological resources to preserve culture, heritage and traditional ecological knowledge of the watershed Improve watershed resiliency to sea level rise and changing climate impacts Expand opportunities for community access to the open spaces and waters of the watershed
