31 Strengthening of Local Government Institutions LGED Union Parishad (UP), the lowest tier of Government, receives direct block grant plus ADP allocation routed through the Upazila. To get them in touch with the environment friendly renewable energy, LGED has proposed the Govt. to allocate some fund for spending on RET.

32 LGED Draft Renewable Energy Policy of Bangladesh sets a target to satisfy 5% of the total power demand by 2015 and 10% of power demand by 2020 from renewable energy. This may be an ambitious one but not impossible.
