3 CURRENT STATE OF WORK (1) According to Terms of Reference, the following steps were taken under the Project For the overall project: methodological approach to project development has been formed; work plan of the project development has been prepared; group for the project performance has been organized; data are being collected on potential energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. 3

National Project Website Measures are being taken for updating information for National Website which includes the following: incorporating information according to assignment of the present period of the project development; analyzing the current legislation of Ukraine on energy efficiency and renewable energy use with object of further updating website information on these themes; creating approaches for expansion of the contacts with local experts with the object of informing them on trainings of the enterprises, organizations and institutions managers on development of energy efficiency projects in collaboration with Conning Asset Management Limited and ARENA-ECO. 4

Indicative Project Pipeline Proposals The following has been done: translation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects identification forms into Ukrainian has been done; letters have been prepared and sent to the addresses as to filling in these forms and providing additional information on the side of the enterprises, organizations and institutions concerning their interest in collaboration with Eastern-European Energy Efficiency Fund as for energy efficiency projects realization; analysis of the state, branch and local energy efficiency programs with aim of finding potential energy efficiency projects are in process; presentation at the International Energy Efficiency Forum in Astana (Kazakhstan) has been performed on September,

Organization of Training/Business Development Courses The following has been done: preparatory list of experts and consultants on energy efficiency projects business planning and renewable energy is being formed with purpose of their participation in holding the prospective seminar on training the project managers; a list of requirements for information materials for training courses for managers of enterprises, organizations and institutions of Ukraine that have intention to cooperate with Eastern-European Energy Efficiency Fund for realization of the energy efficiency and renewable energy projects is being prepared; general approach towards the measures for extension of possibilities for commercial banks and companies on energy efficiency investments is being determined. 6
