13 Electrification of the Transportation Sector: Los Angeles Air Force Base Vehicle-to-Grid Demonstration This is the first large-scale research project to demonstrate full V2G capability. The goal is for the base to use electric vehicles to co-optimize building load and participation in the California ISO s ancillary services markets. These capabilities will be integrated and optimized using software also being developed through the project. This project will allow other entities to benefit from these advances and lessons, and will help improve the value proposition of owning electric vehicles.
