7 ECO-label The REGULATION (EC) No 66/2010 of the EU Ecolabel is valid First National Rules and procedures to award the ECO label are published The use of environmental friendly labels (eco-labels) aims to protect the environment by suggesting the consumer to buy an environmental friendly product encouraging producers to produce more of those products it s a voluntary system Objective of eco-labels: In general, eco-labels have three intentions To inform the consumer about the environmental friendliness of the product of interest To develop environmental standards for the production of the goods To protect domestic products Once it's on your products, the EU Ecolabel guarantees: Water efficient products which contribute to reducing water consumption Save water and money Reduced end-of-life impacts The EU Ecolabel can be awarded to flushing toilets equipment and urinal equipment for domestic and non-domestic use and is based on a third party certification..

8 European Water Label A simple, effective Industry backed voluntary initiative Focus: Water efficiency & Sustainability to save water will also save energy This Scheme sets the main principles which the main sanitary ceramic manufacturer commit to follow while supplying products on the EU markets. The manufacturers and signatories of this Scheme recognize that: Water is an essential natural resource which must be preserved Water efficient products can help mitigate water and energy consumption while maintaining safety and comfort harmonized products criteria should be set to guarantee fair and simple information of the user WHAT THE LABEL SAYS A simple tool to inform consumers on water consumption of products A single label used throughout Europe A complete database of labelled water saving products WHAT THE LABEL SHOWS It clearly shows the volume of water that the product will consume if installed correctly coloured performance bands Actual capacity/performance

9 Sustainability EN 16578:2014 Sustainability assessment - Ceramics sanitary appliances This standard specifies sustainability requirements together with assessment methods and evaluation schemes for ceramic sanitary appliances covered by Mandate M/110 Sanitary Appliances and is still in development This European Standard will provide: a system for sustainability assessment of ceramic sanitary appliances using a life cycle approach qualitative and quantitative indicators for ecologic, economic and social performance of sanitary ceramic appliances requirements and classification values for the assessment of the sustainability of ceramic sanitary appliances This standard will help to give answers for the coming tasks regarding sustainable aspects and shall also help to be able to cover the new essential requirement Nr. 7 sustainability out of the new CPR.
