7 Petroleum Recycling.. Definition: The U.S. EPA Defines The Term Used Oil as any Petroleum or Synthetic Oil That Has Been Used, and as a Result of Such Use, is Contaminated by Physical or Chemical Properties. Used Oil is a Precise Regulatory Term. Waste Oil is a More Generic Term for Oil that That Has Been Contaminated With Substances That May or May Not Be Hazardous. Any Oil Contaminated With Hazardous Waste May Itself be a Hazardous Waste, And If So, Must Be Managed Subject To Hazardous Waste Management Standards. Both Used Oil and Waste Oil Require Proper Recycling or Disposal To Avoid Creating and ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM.

8 Petroleum Recycling.. In 1984 the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Implemented A Used Oil Management Program Under Sections , Florida Statutes. Florida s Used Oil Recycling Program Has Grown To Become One Of The Most Successful In The United States And Has Received NATIONAL RECOGNITION. DID YOU KNOW: THAT THE USED OIL FROM ONE (1) OIL CHANGE CAN CONTAMINATE ONE MILLION (1,000,000) GALLONS OF FRESH WATER A YEARS SUPPLY FOR 50 PEOPLE!

9 CBI Miami Plant CBI Purchases UNOCAL Facility in Miami to be Developed as an Oily Wastewater Pre-Treatment, Processing, and Transfer Facility During This 22 Year History, CBI Attains Significant Milestones: The ONLY EPA state approved facility permitted to accept all (3) waste streams comprised of: Organics, Oils, and Metals CBI is the ONLY Approved Dade County Transporter for all (5) Waste Streams Including: Sewage, Antifreeze, Liquid Waste, Hazardous Waste, and Medical Wastes Throughout the Past 22 Years, CBI s Facility has Grown to Manage 35 Million Gallons of Water and Recovers 6.3 Million Gallons of Petroleum Fuel Oil Per Year
