Ingredients Dodecyl diphenyloxide disulphanated sodium salt 3. Hazards identification Risk of very serious damage to the eyes. Very toxic to aquatic organisms. 4. First aid measures Never give fluids or induce vomiting if patient is unconscious or having convulsions. After inhalation: fresh air. Consult a physician After skin contact: wash off with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing. After eye contact: Immediate and continuous irrigation with flowing water for at least 30 minutes is imperative. Prompt medical consultation is essential. After swallowing: Induce vomiting if large amounts are swallowed. Consult medical personal. Note to physician: If burn is present, treat as any thermal burn, after decontamination. No specific antidote. Supportive care. Treatment based on judgment of the physician in response to reactions of the patient. Excessive exposure may aggrative preexisting liver and kidney disease. 5. Fire-fighting measures Suitable extinguishing media: Water Special protective equipment for fire fighting: Do not stay in dangerous zone without positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus. 2 Other information: The organic portion may burn once the water is evaporated. In such case, use water for extinguishing media. Prevent fire-fighting water from entering surface water or groundwater. 6. Accidental release measures Person-related precautionary measures: Avoid substance contact. Do not inhale vapours/aerosols. Environmental-protection measures: Do not allow to enter sewerage system. Procedures for cleaning / absorption: Take up with suitable liquid-absorbent material Forward for disposal. Clean up affected area. 7. Handling and storage Handling No further requirements. Storage Tightly closed. At +15 C to +25 C. Storage area to be equipped with a spillage collection system. 8. Exposure controls/personal protection Personal protective equipment Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier. Respiratory protection: required when vapours/aerosols are generated. Eye protection: required Hand protection: required Industrial hygiene: Change contaminated clothing. Application of skin- protective barrier cream recommended. Wash hands after working with substance. 9. Stability and reactivity Conditions to be avoided Stable at ambient temperatures Hazardous decomposition products Sulfur and carbon oxidation products. Further information None 11. Toxicological information Acute toxicity LD50 (oral, rat): ~ 2000 mg/kg (female). Further toxicological information After skin contact: Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause skin irritation. After eye contact: Severe irritations. Risk of corneal injury which may result in permanent impairmant of vision, even blindness. After swallowing of large amounts: May cause injury. After excessive inhalation: May cause irritation to upper respiratory tract. Further data Excessive exposure may cause liver and possibly kidney effects. This mixture contains methyleno chloride (<0.5%) which is listed by IARC as potential carcinogenic. Further hazardous properties cannot be excluded. The product should be handled with the care usual when dealing with chemicals. 12. Ecological information Biologic degradation: Biodegradation under aerobic static laboratory conditions is low (BOD/THOD < 5%). Page 3 of 5

4 Biodegradation rate is expected to increase. when soil and/or water are continually exposed to non-inhibitory concentrations, i.e. acclimation can occur. Ecotoxic effects: Static acute LC50 for fathead minnow (pimephales promelas) is reported to be 3.85 mg/l. Biological effects: Highly toxic to aquatic organisms. Fish toxicity: Moderately toxic on a static acute basis (1 < LC50 < 10 mg/l.) Daphnia toxicity: Daphnia magna LC50: mg/l. Further ecologic data: Do not allow to enter waters, waste water, or soil! 13. Disposal considerations Product There are no uniform EC Regulations for the disposal of chemicals or residues. Chemical residues generally count as special waste. The disposal of the latter is regulated in the EC member countries through corresponding laws and regulations. We recommend that you contact either the authorities in charge or approved waste disposal companies which will advise you on how to dispose of special waste. Packaging Disposal in compliance with official regulations. Handle contaminated packaging in the same way as the substance itself. If not officially specified differently, non-contaminated packaging may be treated like household waste or recycled. 14. Transport information Product is not classified for any mode of transportation. 15. Regulatory information US.
