1 2018 ComEd Business Programs & FEJA Overview for BOMA Chicago July 11, 2018 C O N F I D E N T I A L Overview Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) passed in December 2016 Legislation is a Win for Illinois RENEWABLES - Provides $180 million per year growing to $220 million per year in RPS funding for renewable resources, including new wind power, large-scale solar power, and rooftop and community solar. ENERGY EFFICIENCY - Increases funding for energy efficiency from $250M up to $400M per year by Grows energy efficiency programs in a way that ensures all communities benefit, with at least $25 million per year dedicated to low-income energy efficiency programs through CREATES NEW JOBS - Create thousands of clean energy jobs through energy efficiency programs and energy innovation. - Provides for $30M in funding for three job-training programs a solar training pipeline, a craft apprenticeship program, and a multicultural jobs program. 2 1

8 Multi-Family Program Property owners and managers of multi-tenant residential buildings can reduce energy usage with program offered jointly with Nicor Gas, North Shore Gas, and Peoples Gas. Program offerings include: Free energy assessments with a report contain additional energy efficiency recommendations and available incentives for completing suggested improvements Direct installation of products in tenant spaces including: - LEDs, advanced power strips, programmable thermostats, WaterSense certified showerheads, faucet aerators for bathrooms and kitchens, and hot water pipe insulation Trade Ally installation of products in common areas including: - LEDs, TLED lighting, exterior and garage LEDs, programmable thermostats, LED exit sighs, and occupancy sensors 15 Installer Certification Requirements As of January 1, 2018, ComEd Energy Efficiency will not be able to pay out certain incentives unless provided with evidence that the installer is certified through the ICC. (Note: this is not applicable if the customer is a self-installer.) Applies to energy efficiency measures that require certain electrical connection Applies only where the incentive for the installed measure exceeds $300 The incentive or rebate will be withheld if the installing contractor is not certified or until certification is approved/ verified. 16 8
